I watched with Stacey and maddie beside me as bradie told his story, then Shaun took over as the story progressed and bradie came to stand beside us, filling us in on what his reactions were.

Andy was speechless throughout the entire story. We weren't that lucky afterwards though.

"What the fuck?! You break my guitar and don't tell me?" andy was yelling "You leave jimmy here to take care of a crowd that was getting more agitated by the minute, and then disappear to some fucking unknown place with these two chicks. Then come back with an out of tune guitar for me to play. What the hell were you thinking?!"

We all felt Andy's wrath. With half of the others in the room leaving, afraid to get on his bad side and the other half staying around in case something vital happened.

"Andy, i'm really sorry." Bradie began "I just, I didn't know what to do. And then when Isabelle offered me her guitar like yours I didn't even think, I just took the offer. I know I should have told you but I was afraid you would get angry at me."

"I am angry at you!" Andy growled.

"Hey." Said Shaun stepping in. "if you should be angry at anyone, is angry at me. I'm the one who drove them there!"

"Oh don't worry." Andy replied "I am angry at you."

"Please don't be angry at them." Stacey said stepping towards Andy from where we were sitting. "They meant well and i'm sure you wouldn't have known it was a different guitar if they didn't say so." She said calmly. "c'mon andy." She smiled "please?"

Andy must have a soft spot for stace, because he started to smile and then eventually apologised to Shaun and bradie.

"Great!" maddie said, trying to lighten the mood "now that were all playing dodgem cars with our happy bubbles can we please get out of here?! These walls are making me feel sick." We all laughed and went outside.

The others went across the road to go and buy some snacks.

That meant I was left standing alone with Shaun at the door, the night air was fresh and cool, I smiled taking in the smells of rain from this morning.

"What are you smiling at sneak?" Shaun asked me.

"The smell of rain." I said sliding down the wall to end up sitting with my hands resting on my knees. "I love the way it makes everything smell so, so fresh. It makes everything feel new. And anyway, what's with calling me sneak?" I laughed, playfully shoving against him, but he held his ground and shoved me back. I ended up overbalancing and landing on my side.

We both burst into laughter at my expression.

At this point in time the others returned, their arms overflowing with goodies.

As I checked my phone to see if I had any messages I saw the time. 11:32pm

"Um, guys?" I said

"Mmmmmhmmmmm??" replied Stacey, her mouth filled with chips that andy was holding.

"We were meant to be home. An hour ago." I stated.

"Well this sucks." She said, swallowing her mouthful of food. "I guess we better go then."

"Don't worry about the shirt." Shaun said "I hardly wear that one these days."

"Thanks." I smiled "c'mon girls we should get walkin' home if we don't wanna die. My mother would murder us if we got home after midnight."

"Wait you guys walked here?" said bradie.

"Well her house is only three blocks away." Maddie replied.

Bradie looked worried.

"Why?" Stacey asked.

"I'd feel better if I knew that you nice girls got home ok. Would you like a lift home?" he offered.

"Umm, sure." I agreed. Mum wouldn't care that we got dropped off, We were all seventeen and knew the rules.

After we had all our stuff and a few pictures and souvenirs we all cramped into the van, leaving the others to call a cab to get back to the hotel.

Once again I sat in the front seat and directed Shaun where to go.

When the van pulled up we said our farewells to the guys and started up the walkway giggling about our night, and how things had changed.

Maddie still had her drumstick, and didn't look like she was gunna let it go anytime soon.

Stacey was recovering from her encounter with Andy, explaining what happened when she came round from being knocked out, only to almost pass out again.

And me? I was still taking every opportunity to smell Shaun's shirt. It smelled so good and with the rain earlier on in the day, I was euphoric.

We all were.

Today was nothing short of perfect.
