GHOST OF YOU - Austin Giorgio

There's afireenginered
Kiss that youleft on themirror, I can't wipe it off
(It's a) A tender and cruel, reminder of you
And nothin' I do's gonna stop it

If you were here
I'd make up for the hours that you disappeared
And if you weren't gone
I'd kiss you, make love, we'd forget all the wrong
But you're just in my head, I've nowhere to go
This house you're not in, and I'm dancin' alone
With the ghost of you

Go head an listen to this in loop thank you 🤗

"How did you sleep?"

"Terribly"

Zoro's voice, though calm as a sea breeze, seems to disturb the peacefulness of the early morning. The boy leans wearily, arms crossed, against the ship's railing and, whether reluctantly or not, is having a lighthearted conversation with Luffy.

"I slept great. Sure, my stomach is still growling, such a skimpy breakfast is quite demanding, but I feel quite rested. We're ready for the One Piece!"

Zoro huffs: "I wouldn't exactly say—

He suddenly stops, distracted by a silent figure. His shoulders shift and he seems to grow taller and broader as he straightens his back. His eyes follow slowly and warily the woman's slender body. His jaw stiffens almost involuntarily, and the muscles in his arms seem to turn into iron. The morning chill brushes his hair, lightly lifting his shirt, but he remains unbothered as Kai continues walking on the deck. It's as if he hadn't just been chatting with the captain of that improvised crew all along, almost enraptured by the rhythmic steps of (Y/N).

Kai turns toward them probably sensing Zoro's gaze on her. Zoro rolls his eyes and steps away from the wall, without glancing back at the girl before entering the only closed cabin on the ship—from which she has just emerged. (Y/N) exhales as she adjusts the belt on her waist.
It's like there are two equally fierce, brutal, and hungry predators locked in the same cage, both prey and hunter at the same time.
Kai approaches Luffy, who can't help but snicker. He's poor attempt comes to light as soon as he speaks, when a mischievous but tiny laugh escapes every word he says.

"You two can't even stay in the same room"

"He's the one who leaves. I'm not that immature" (Y/N) replies, leaning on the ship's edge as the seawater splashes playfully across her face.

"Why do you hate each other so much? I'm a pirate too, and he doesn't try to kill me!"

The girl glances at Luffy for an instant, thinking that the kid is far away from looking or even being a pirate.

"Who knows... maybe it's old grudges from a past life" (Y/N) says, hands on hips, watching the door shut behind Zoro. She won't ever admit it but her cheeks still hurt from the feral punch of the other day.

She hadn't slept well either. In fact, she hadn't slept at all. First of all, she couldn't sleep in such a small cabin with so many people—especially when they snored so loudly. And saying she didn't trust them would be an understatement. Even if she'd had a private canopy-bed room with the best silk pillows in the world, she wouldn't have caught sleep for anything in the world knowing Zoro was next door.
Who knows how many times that crazy would've woken up at night to try and kill her?
Staying awake was the smartest move and that's exactly how Kai spent the night, keeping an eye over the ship and, above all, guarding herself.

Another thing that stood between her and her beauty sleep was the childhood memories. During the night she often dozed off for a few seconds, tired from the past days, but even if in a moment of weakness she fell asleep after a few minutes she'd awaken in agitation, looking around to reassure herself she wasn't back in Shimotsuki Village.
