I scrutinize Axe Hand's pupils, his icy eyes don't communicate any emotion. The only thing that makes me realise how angry he really is are his thick eyebrows frowning in a rather frightening expression. He's not quite the handsome guy.

I study the movements of the unfortunates next to me and understand they're ready to fight. Why do they always choose to struggle when the easiest way would be to run away without looking back?

That's exactly what I'll do to save myself a lot of labor and trouble.

Despite the high tension, no one breaks eye contact with the marine. Our muscles are tense, our breath is controlled and our mind is clear as the sky, ready to fight.

Zoro is the first to launch himself at Axe Hand who, without a second thought, throws his powerful metal axe at his head. With a quick and precise shot, the pirate hunter wards off his blow bouncing Axe Hand off. The marine attacks right away: he tries to punch his enemy, the blade of his weapon shining in the sunlight, but flexing the muscles of his arms Zoro places his two swords between himself and the marine. He quickly dodges a second punch, this time without a threatening axe, and rolls away from Axe Hand.

Well, I really think now is time to go.

I glance around looking for the door and...found it!
It's only a few meters from me, reaching it without being noticed in the general confusion will be child's play. Full of new energy I accelerate my pace and snake between the marines lying on the ground and the marines trying to knock out the redhead, unfortunately for them extremely skillful fighting with that long stick.

I feel a little sorry for them, they'll be forced to who knows what orribile torture. I bite my lips: sure, having the map of the Grand Line wouldn't be that bad... I wonder where I am now in the social ladder of pirates. Banished by my own father, I nearly revealed the secret of the Seven Warlords and I was so close to joining a crew of fake loser pirates.
Damn, not even finding the One Piece could redeemed my honor.

"Where do you think you're going?"

Something grabs my shoulder and I'm violently turned back. The time to realize what was happening I met Zoro's narrow eyes.

"I'm not a bonehead like you. Why waste my time fighting when I can simply leave"

"Yeah its very convenient for you, but we're the ones to save your ass"

I tilt my head to observe Luffy struggling to dodge Axe Hand's fierce blows: "Well oh god, you can't even save yours"

Zoro clenches his jaw and tightens his grip on me. I'm about to reply with another sharp sentence but suddenly we're all catapulted to the ground. We hit the stone of the towering walls of the marine base and I grasp what happened by the bodies over mine: Axe Hand had just thrown that skinny guy Luffy over here, making us fall miserably.

They're really desperate, they will never be able to win.

At least this strange incident prevented the pirate hunter from filling my head with his useless words.

"Get off me" with a grunt I move Zoro's body away and get up, stunned and dirty with sand. Enough, I really had enough.
I push away the two wannabe pirates and finally, I manage to get out of the yard with a sprint. I don't look back, I don't care about anything anymore. I just want to regain my freedom.

My steps are wide and self-confident, and in a short time, I reach the port of Shell Town. I feel like I'm reliving an old moment. Once again I'm running away from my problems, I'm abandoning Zoro.

Oh Kai, what are you saying!

It doesn't compare, it's completely different.

That's not even Zoro anymore, and I've changed a lot. I'm not running away, I'm saving myself, I'm using my head! Unlike those desperate and stubborn three
