Chapter - 24

[AV and HM fast-walked toward the gate while HM also looked around to find something out of place.]

[AV was on a call with DJ]

AV - Kya mila Deewan ji?

DJ- Sir me wahan train ke paas search kar raha tha...

[DJ's voice took a sharp cut on the other end and he started talking again.]

DJ - Arre haan haan main aur Malika Sharma. Hum dono train ke paas search kar rahe the to ek aadmi thoda out of spot laga. Humne peecha kiya to wo yahan gate ke paas aake ruk gaya.

AV - Dewaan ji aap uspe nazar rakhiye hum aa rahe hain aur Malika Sharma se kahiye paas rahe lekin baaki jagah bhi nzar rakhe.

DJ - Suna.

AV - Kya Deewan ji.

DJ - Sir ye Malika Sharma ko keh raha tha ki apne order diya hai.

[Their bickering didn't last long as HM placed a hand on AV's shoulder, stopping him in his tracks.]

AV - Kya hua?

[AV looked at her and she gestured toward the tea stall where a person with a masked person was standing.]

AV - Ye suspicious laga?

HM - Wo nervous hai. Apne haath pocket me daal rakhe hain usne aur lagataar isdhar udhar dekh raha hai. Baar baar phone check kar raha hai.

AV - Age bhi kam lag rahi hai iski.

HM - Ho sakta hai college ka koi student ho.

[The masked person's phone rang and he immediately picked it up. AV continued his call with DJ]

AV - Deewan ji aap usse observe kariye hum aa rahe hai.

DJ - Sir wo kisi ko phone kar raha hai.

AV - Theeke dekhiye agar kuch aur karta hai to bataiye.

[AV and HM looked at the masked person and he turned toward them cautiously.]

[AV took HM's hand and turned toward the near train to pretend as if he was searching for someone.]

HM - Kya kar rahe hain wo nikal jaayega.

[HM whispered]

AV - Agar hume dekh lega to ho sakta hai ki bhagne ki koshish kare

HM - Haan to pakad lenge.

AV - Lekin agar parcel lene hi nahi gaya to hume sach nahi pata chalega.

[AV turned toward HM but her eyes was focused on the masked person, taking quick glimpses as to not lose him.]

AV - Uski taraf mat dekhiye Haseena ji.

HM - Jaa raha hai.

AV - Kya?

HM - Arre jaa raha hai wo.

[AV turned to look at the masked person as he started walking toward the gate. He then turned to look at HM.]

AV - Dekh liya kya usne aapko?

[HM glared at him in response]

HM - Uske peeche jaana hai ya yahin khade rehna hai?

AV - After you.

[They started their own path toward the gate and AV connected both DJ and MS on call with him.]

AV - Deewan ji jisko aap observe kar rahe hain most probably uske paas ek blue check shirt waala 19 - 21 saal ka ladka aa raha hoga.

HM - Malika Sharma ko kahiye ki wo jeep nikal kar ready rahen. In case inhe chase karna pad jaaye.

AV - Ji

[AV gave the command to MS who immediately jumped into action]

[AV and HM followed the masked person to the gate and stopped a few steps back to observe the deal.]

[As the man passed on a yellow envelope to the masked person, AV snapped some photos.]

[They waited for them to make their next move and the masked person and the man split up in different directions.]

AV - Deewan ji aap us aadmi ka peecha kijiye.

[AV ordered on his phone while he and HM trailed behind the masked person.]

[The masked person increased his speed and exited the station and was about to run when AV's voice stopped him]

AV - Ruko

[AV jogged toward him and the masked person's eyes widened]

[He started to run but HM and AV caught him]

AV - Arre arre bhaag kahan rahe ho.

[AV reached for his mask and the masked person moved his head around like crazy to dodge his attempts when HM snatched his mask.]

HM - Karn?

Karn - Sorry mam..... sorry sir...... me maine ye... wo....

[Karn was shivering in AV's hold]

AV - Tumhe to maine bhi expect nahi kiya tha.

[AV took out handcuffs and Karn started to make a break from his hold]

Karn - Nahi sir... sorry sir... ye meraa nahi hai... mujhe to pata bhi nahi iske ander kya hai... sir nahi please sir...

[AV opened the handcuffs and placed it on his hands while MS appeared with the jeep]

MS - Deewan ji Kahan hain sir?

AV - Unhe maine uss aadmi ke peeche bheja hai. 

[AV made Karn to sit in the jeep with him while Karn was continuosly whimpering]

HM - Aap log thane jaaiye hum Deewan ji ke saath aa jayenge.

[AV nodded and HM went inside the station again]

[As soon as MS started the jeep to go, a gunshot sound came out of the station]
