New Beginning for Haseena Malik

Chapter - 26

[All the eyes were focused on HM when she went through the contents of the envelope.]

[AV was right behind her, watching all the photographs intently.]

AV - Ye kon hai Haseena ji?

[He pointed toward the man standing with HM in the photo.]

[The shine of the photobooth illuminating the beautiful pictures and the smiling face of HM showed just how much bliss she was feeling.]

[When HM didn't answer, AV looked toward KS only to find she was just as shocked as HM]

AV - Haseena ji?

[AV placed a hand on HM's shoulder and she looked up from the photos as if broken out of some trance.]

KS - Madam sir ye...

[KS took the photos out of HM's hand but HM didn't make a move.]

[The yellow envelope had several images that HM and Anubhav took for their engagement and numerous selfies that HM took when she was in a relationship with Anubhav]

KS - Iss sab ka kaa matlab hai?

[KS turned toward the two people locked up inside the jail. Her eyes were the indication of the anger she was feeling.]

[HM went out of the station without saying another word and AV was hesitant of whether he should go after her or not.]

[KS opened the jail and went inside with a photo of Anubhav crumpled in her palm and grabbed the older man by his shirt's collar.]

KS - Tum apna muh khud khologe ya hum khulwayen?

Man - Mujhe kuch nahi pata. Main to messenger hun. Mujhe jo deliever karne ke liye bola wo kar diya. Isse puchiye agar puchna hai to.

[He pointed toward Karn who was shivering in fear in the mere presence of KS]

[KS glared toward him and took small, threatening steps toward him.]

Karn - Nahi, nahi mam. Mujhe bhi kuch nahi pata. Ye to mujhe Khushi di ne laane ko kaha tha. Bas itna hi pata hai mujhe.

[KS grabbed Karn by his throat and pinned him to a nearby wall when AV interrupted.]

AV - Karishma Singh calm down. Usse chod dijiye main baat karta hun.

KS - nahi sir. Ab ye case personal ho gaya hai. Abhi tak hum aapke aur madam sir ke orders per sirf tafsheesh hi to kar rahe hain lekin ab madam sir se galat panga le liya isne.

[KS said without glancing in AV's direction]

Saurabh - Madam please usse chod dijiye. Usne kuch nahi kiya hai. Uski boss usse ye sab kara rahi hai.

[Others tried to talk KS out of it but KS didn't listen to anyone and pressed harder on Karn's throat. When he looked like he was about to pass out, AV interrupted again.]

AV - Karishma Singh, Haseena ji kahan gayi hain? Unhe aapki jaroorat hogi. Aapko unke paas jaana chaiye.

[This made KS drop her hand which immediately made Karn fall on the floor. Karn was breathing hard and panting for air as KS exited the jail and went straight outside of thana's door, looking for HM.]

[Saurabh entered the jail to help Karn while others looked at the contents of the envelope again.]

MS - Sir itne saare paise!

[MS holds up the thick wad of cash that was in the envelope.]

Deewan ji - Sir ye paise, photos, Haseena madam ki aur ye jo aadmi inke saath hai unki. Iss sab ka kya matlab ho skata hai?
