Chapter - 38

[The gunshot cut through the silence of the air]

[KS took a step forward to go inside or take charge but AV called out her name]

AV - Karishma Singh

[He then points toward something. When KS turned around to take a look she noticed that some people wearing black masks were standing behind her]

[More similar people surrounded the entire group, and they all held the team at gunpoint]

Mask man - Chalo tum sabko ander bulaya hai.

[KS was about to protest but AV gave her another look and she followed them inside the building.]

[They all took weary steps, with their arms in the air and came closer when KS whispered]

KS - Sir hum inpe hamla kahe nahi kar rahe?

AV - Aisa nahi kar sakte Karishma Singh. Yahan jitna dikh raha hai utna simple mamla nahi hai. Ander kuch students ko pakad ke rakha hai. Humara ek galat kadam unke saath pata nahi kya karega.

KS - Haan lekin sir aise inke kehne pe naachte rahenge to kya karenge. Aur madam sir bhi nahi hain yahan.

AV - Karishma Singh yahan tak aane ke baad agar aisi koi bewakoofi karenge to ab tak ke kaam pe paani fir jaayega.

KS - Sir aapke paas koi plan hai jo aapne abhi tak hume nahi bataya hai?

[Before AV could answer, one of the masked men poked him with his gun]

Mask man - Seedhe chalo aur tej. Police waale itna dheere kaam karte hain isliye hi aam logo ko khud apne liye justice dhoondhni padti hai.

[The group finally came inside the building. Although the outside environment was dark, the lights inside were bright enough for everyone to see]

KS - Sir ye --

[KS exclaimed when she saw AJ lying on the ground with blood coming out of her leg]

[She again tried to protest but once again got stopped by AV ]

Unknown - Chalo puri party aa hi gayi. Par Haseena malik kahan hai?

[A woman held a gun and was standing in front of AJ and Karn]

[She had her face covered with a black cloth in a similar manner Rani used to.]

[She took a look at AJ who was grunting in pain and then looked back at the team specifically at AV]

Mask woman - Puri paltan ko to le aaye lekin kahani ki main kirdaar ko kahan chod aaye Amar Vidhrohi?

AV - Kahani ki main kirdaar to filhaal mujhe tum hi lag rahi ho. Main kirdaar bhi aur main villain bhi.

[The woman threw her head back with a loud laugh and took some steps forward, stopping when she was standing near AJ]

Mask Woman - Chalo jaan ke acha laga ki thoda bahut sense of humor bhi aapke paas warna mujhe to laga tha ki Haseena bas wo... kya kehte hain use? haan jazbaat. 

[KS formed a fist to control her anger as she looked at AV who still told her to hold back]

Mask woman - Mujhe to laga tha ki Haseena bas jazbaat hi dekhti hogi. Wasie kitnaq aasan hai an usse bewakoof banana.

[The woman looked at KS expecting a reaction out of her but then continued]

Mask Woman - Waise hi jaise Anubhav ne banaya tha.

KS - Bas. Tum hoti kon ho Madam sir ke baare me much bhi bolne waali? khud ko nakab ke peeche chupa ke rakha hai itni bhi himmat nahi hai ki apni shakal dikha sako.

[The masked man behind KS pressed his gun against her head but what made KS stop her sentence was the group of students who were held at gunpoint by a similar group of masked men]

[The masked woman followed KS's gaze and looked at the group of students]

Mask woman - Kya hua? gussa aa raha hai Karishma Singh? Bhaukal dikhane ka man kar raha hai?

[She emphasised on 'bhaukal' as she teased KS]

Mask woman - Aur himmat ki baat tum mat karo Karishma Singh. Main to jo kehna chahtihu keh rahi hun jo karna chahti thi wo bhi kar liya. Khadi to tum ho jo in bacho ko bachana bhi chahti ho aur kuch kar bhi nahi paa rahin.

Mask woman - Darr lag raha hai? tumhara senior aage khada hai uski order nahi maana to kahin job naa chali jaaye? Oh ho. Kya kar sakte hain imaan jaaye per naukari naa jaaye. Hai na?

[KS took a step forward but as soon as she did that a person from the group that held students hostage grabbed one of the students and pressed the gun directly at her forehead.]

Mask woman - Aur rahi baat nakab ke peeche chupne ki to wo to maine tumse hi seekha hai.

[The masked woman took a few more steps and was now directly in front of KS]

Mask woman - Kyu bhool gayin? Qayamat?

[The masked woman smirked and then went to stand in front of AV]

Mask woman - Aur aap mahashay. Batana pasand karenge ki Haseena ko konse kone me chod ke aaye hain?

AV - Nahi.

Mask woman - Majak lag raha hai Amar Vidhrohi? Tumhe lagta hai ki tum nahi bataoge to mujhe pata nahi chalega? 

AV - Chal jaayega lekin mujhe nahi pata ki Haseena ji kahan hain.

Mask woman - Ji? Aree waah badi respect karte ho lagta hai Haseena Ji ki. Acha hai abhi jitni respect karni hai karlo phir pata nahi mauka mile naa mile.

[KS took the moment to look around the building. The group of students held captive was small with 5 students in it.]

[Karn was sitting on the floor beside AJ with his hands tied behind his back and AJ was wrapping a cloth around her wound to stop it from bleeding.]

[KS's vision got caught by occasional light that came from a broken window in the far back corner.]

[KS looked at that light and back at AV only to find that he was looking at the light occasionally as well.]

Mask Woman - Sarkar tumhe time paas karne ka paisa deti hogi par mere paas faltu time nahi hai. Jaldi batao kahan chod ke aaye ho Haseena Malik ko.

AV - Tum dhoondh sakti ho to dhoondh kyun nahi leti? 

Mask Woman - Main to tumhe mauka de rahi thi. Kyuki agar maine dhoondha to sirf wo nahi aur bhi kayi log uske saath yahan aayenge. Jaante ho na kiski baat kar rahin hun main.

AV - Tumne Aarushi Jain ko goli maari phir bhi wo jinda bach gayin. Tumhara nishaana kachha lagta hai lekin over confidence jyada hai tumhe.

[The masked woman scoffed at this]

Mask Woman - Mera nishaana kitna acha hai mujhe tumhe proove karni ki jaroorat nahi hai. Aur waise bhi tumhe dekhna bhi nahi chahiye. Tum dhyan do bas Bunty pe.

[Hearing Bunty's name AV's eyes widened but he masked it soon.]

Mask Woman - Yahi naam hai na? Bunty? Haseena Ji ke paas nahi chodna chahiye tha use. Khair galti to insaan se hi hoti hai.

[The masked woman put the revolver on AV's head]

Mask Woman - Chalo phir apna nishaana bhi dikha deti hun.

[She was about to shoot when the gun got knocked off from her hand with a loud bang.]
