Chapter 2

⭐️ - Hardin's point of view - ⭐️

" hardin scott where are you" I sigh and walk inside and see my mom and dad standing in the kitchen. " today Mr and Mrs adams will be here with dinner and they wil bring there foster daughter too" I shake my head a foster daughter really why wanted they to be a foster family. I look at my dad " do I really have to be here " " yes Hardin and I want you to be on you best behavior " I shake my head " I was going out tonight " I look at my dad who is looking mad at me " you know what honey your here with dinner and after dinner you can go to where ever you going on only one condition your taking Tessa with you and maybe you can show her the neighborhood " I sigh " yeah fine " I walk into the backyard again and sit down on the chair and take my phone.

After a while I hear the gate opening and see a woman and a men walking inside. Behind them I see a blond girl with blue eyes walking towards me. That must be Tessa I stand up " you must be Mr and Mrs adams please come in" I see them walking inside " I'm Hardin " I take a step forward  to shake her hand, but see her taking a couple steps back that's weird. I let her inside and close the door behind me. I sit down next to her on the kitchen table. " your Tessa right" I see her shaking my moms hand but not my dads hand is she scared for us or men I shake my head to think about something else. I see my mom set the table with food and drinks.

" we were thinking Hardin is going outside after dinner and maybe Tessa can come with him so he can show the neighborhood" I smile at Mrs Adam " yeah that a great idea don't you think Tess " I look at Tessa and see her nod lightly not wanting to go. After a while we ate our food I stand up and take my leather jacket and put it on " you ready Tessa " I see her stand up and take her coat and put it on. I take my car keys and open the door and get in. I see her standing in front of the car. I roll down the window " are you coming or not " I see her sit down and put on her seatbelt

" where are we going" that's the first thing I hear Tessa say after 2 hours " a party if you don't mind maybe you can make friends or anything " I look at her as she stare out the window. I see something is bothering her but I don't want to confront her. After a couple minutes driving we arrive at the big house of my best friend Jace. I get out the car and see Tessa doing the same. She walks behind me inside and I walk towards my own friend and leave Tessa. I know it's selfish but I can't help it I have always been this way.

" hey mate your here we thought you wouldn't come" I give Jace a men hug " dinner I had to stay" I see Jace looking behind me " who is that gorgeous girl over there " I want to say something but Jace is already walking towards her. I see her getting uncomfortable and walk towards her " she's new in this neighborhood so I thought it would be good to introduce her if you are okay with it " I look at Tessa and see her nod " well Tessa nice to meet you I'm Jace and that are my friends over there" " I'm tessa nice to meet you " after a while everyone was dancing off course Steph was trying to get Tessa on the dance floor at first she didn't want to. And finally she did I saw her laugh and it was the most beautiful laugh I have ever seen.

" please don't touch me get of of me " I turn around and see a guy trying to touch her in her eyes i see something and without thinking I push the guy on the ground and start to hit him. I feel someone pulling me off of him and look around for Tessa but she's not in the room anymore " she's outside I gave her water I don't think she's okay" I walk to the backyard and see Tessa sitting on a chair. I walk towards her and kneel in front of her and lay my hands on her legs. She pushes my hands away " you okay" I want to put a string of hair behind her ear but she turns her head away. I wonder what happened.

" I'm fine " I look at her " your lying Tessa are you okay " I stand up and take her hand and pull her up " no I'm not fine I wanna go home " I see tears falling down her cheeks and pull her into a hug. At first she was trying to escape from my grip but after a while she gave in and feel her little arms around my waist I feel my shirt getting wetter " it's gonna be okay Tessa really" " no it's not Hardin please take me home " I pull back and take her hand that's she allowed and walk towards the car and open the door for her.

I start the car and drive towards home " I think your parents and my parents are out my mom texted me you wanna be alone or?" I look at Tessa " I don't want to be alone and they are my foster parents " I already knew that because my parents told me but I wanted that she told me and not that I already knew " ow I didn't know what happened at home that you can't live there " it's worth of trying right " I don't want to talk about it okay " I nod " I'm sorry " that's the first time I ever say sorry to anyone but she's different I can feel that.....
