Chapter 6

⭐️ - Hardin's point of view - ⭐️

I grab my bike as fast as I can and drive towards Tessa's house I put my bike in the backyard and open the back door and get inside and lock the door like she asked. But why am I locking the door what happened " Tessa " I walk upstairs towards her room and open it slowly and see Tessa sitting curled up with her hands in her face. I walk towards her and sit infront of her and lay my hands on her legs " don't touch me " I see her standing up and look  out of the window " Tess it's me Hardin what's going on " she turns around to face me " hey what's wrong" I take a step towards her but see her stepping back " he was here he uhm told me I needed to go with him I uhm I " I see her struggling with her words I take a step forward and pull her into a hug.

" shhh it's okay he can't hurt you I will protect you Tess" I feel my shirt getting wetter "come sit down first " I pull her towards the bed so she can sit down to calm down for a little bit " should I get some water " I stand up but feel her little hands holding my wrist " please don't go Hardin" I nod at sit down next to her I take her hand and give a kiss on top of it " where are your foster parents " I see Tessa taking her phone and show me a message that they are away from work for 2 WEEKS " Hardin can you please stay with me until they are back " I smile " of course and we can go to my house if you want " I see her smile that beautiful smile

" but what happened Tessa you called me like in shock or something " I see her looking away and take a note out of her pocket and gave it to me " what's this " " my stepdad gave it to me he wanted to know where I lived he followed me but I lost him when he needed to wait for a car. If that car wasn't there he would have find this house or even worse " I see Tessa cry lightly. I pull her into a hug " what's in the note he gave " I feel her shake her head " I don't know I'm afraid to open it ".

I look at the envelope " should we open it " I look at Tessa " no I don't want to read it " she takes the envelope and throws it into the garbage can. I feel my phone buzzing and answer the phone " hey mom " " where are you sweetheart" I smile " I'm at Tessa's house her parents are away for a week and she doesn't want be alone " " ow yeah I made a guest room for her Chloe asked me if she wants to stay over for a week " I look at Tessa " yeah we will be there in a couple minutes " " oke sweetie see you soon " I put my phone away and see Tessa already packing some clothes. I told her she doesn't have to pack but she's to afraid to walk to her house and I get it it's not nothing of course, so she's taking some clothes with her.

" Hardin I have a question " I stand up and walk towards her " yeah what is it" I see her looking at the ground for a second and meeting her eyes with mine " well tomorrow someone from youth service asked me if I want to see my mom I really wanna see her but I'm afraid he will be there they assured me he wouldn't be there because of his dangerous behaviors , but my question is you wanna come with me " I see her looking down again I lay my finger under her chin and force her to look at me " of course I will go with you but he was there with your mother at first" " yes but the note he gave me today it wasn't the first time he gave me more notes that said don't trust anyone or don't tell anyone I will found out that's why he can't come anymore " I see her smile a little I lean forward but when I wanted to kiss her I feel my phone going of again.

I take my phone great mom good timing " yes mom" " dinner is ready are you guys coming" I roll my eyes" yes mom we are on our way" I declined the call and walk with Tessa downstairs to my house and open the gate so she can get inside. I see her looking over her shoulder the whole time. As we get inside I see my father sitting on the kitchen table as my mother putting the plates down. " hey Tess sit down we are eating fish and chips hope you like it " I sit down next to Tessa " yeah I love it and thank you that I can stay here" I look at my mother who I smiling" no problem honey well enjoy your meal" I smile and take a bite.

After 30 min I helped my mom with the dishes " do you want tea Tessa" I put the water into the kettle and warm it up " yes please " I smile I never thought I would fall in love with her but I'm trying to be carful of course. I take 4 glasses and put the hot water in it and take the tea bags and put it on the table I sit down next to Tessa again. I see my mom and dad sitting on the table to " so Tessa do you have any siblings " I look at Tessa and take her hand from under the table " I uhm had a sister a year younger then me " I see my mom looking confused " why isn't she with you did the took you apart " I look at my mom " mom " I look at Tessa who is trying not to cry " uhm no she uhm took her life when she was 14 "

" I'm so sorry that I brought it up honey you okay " " is it okay if I go upstairs for a moment alone " " yeah of course you can go to hardins room that the first room on the left side" I look at Tessa as she stands up and walk upstairs " really mom " I look at my mom who is looking down " I didn't know Mr and Mrs Adam didn't say anything about it " I shake my head and walk upstairs towards my room I knock on the door " Tess"....
