Chapter 7: Grandma?

"I can't believe that's our Grandma!" Mikey exclaimed as she sat talking to Ari and Kevin. After finding out the older lady was there Grandma Nina, she had received a call and rushed out. So Kevin, Mikey, and Ari just sat talking on the huge leather sofa that Kevin had lay Mikey on when he carried her in from the vehicle.

"Yeah she's a really strong woman, both physically and mentally." Kevin told the twins.

"How did she convince you to help us escape?" Ari asked,both girls wondering the same question.

"We'll, actually my sister brought me into the whole thing." Kevin admitted.

"Where does your sister come in?" Ari asked, Kevin's sister added a new twist to the whole scenario.

"My sister Tristan, Triss for short, left my fathers 'business' when she was eighteen. She never did like tricking and kidnapping people just because they had special abilities others didn't. She was always head strong, I just wanted my father to be proud of me so I did whatever he wanted. Well after my sister left your Grandma found her and asked her to help them, she knew everything there was to know about my fathers 'business' and used what she knew to help break out all the prisoners they had kept in the cells. Last week Triss came to me and asked if I would help your Grandma, she tried to convince me that what we were doing was wrong and I should help put a stop to it. All I wanted to do was make my father proud so I told her no and left." Kevin told the girls.

"If you said no then why are we here? I mean something obviously made you change your mind." Mikey said knowing there had to be more.

"Ya something or more like someone did and I just couldn't end up doing it." Kevin explained leaving out the who." Mikey, when I saw you after i caught you and waited for his directions I looked at your face and you just seemed so gentle I knew it wasn't right and I couldn't keep doing this to people who might be a tiny bit different anymore. So I suddenly decided that I would help you. As soon as I took you outside and headed to my fathers I called my sister and told her I was ready to help and then after I gave you to my father I had a meeting with your grandmother and we made the plan to get both of you out."

"So, you decided to help because of me?" Mikey asked with a sly smile.

Kevin's face started to turn red when Mikey asked him that, he stammered as he answered. "Well I mean, umm, it had been a long time coming of course."

"Oh of course." Mikey said, not wanting to embarrass the man anymore then she already had.

After a long moment of silence between the three young people someone knocked on the door.
Kevin jumped up and made hand motions at the two girls telling them to get up off the couch very quietly and go to the wall that was by the back door and wait, until he found out who was at the door.

Someone knocked on the door again. "Who is it?" Kevin asked as he tried to look through the peep hole. Someone had put there hand over the hole so he couldn't tell who it was." Who is it?" He asked again when no one had answered. At this point he was getting worried that his fathers men had found them and was about to show the girls the secret passage out when he heard laughter coming from the other side of the door.

"It's me you idiot." His sister Triss said as she continued to laugh at how worried she knew he had become.

"Oh." Kevin breathed in a huge sigh of relief once he realized it was Triss.

"Hey it's you!" Both girls exclaimed as Triss walked through the door past her brother and turned to the girls. "You were our flight attendant on the plane." Mikey exclaimed. "The one that took extra special care of us, and even gave us a ride to the hotel we got kidnapped from."

Triss laughed slightly. "Ya I couldn't tell you who I was so I just decided to be a flight attendant to be able to keep an eye on you two on your way here, we have many friends in high places that helped me out to get the job for today. After I dropped you girls off at the hotel I left a man to make sure no one bothered you two, but he got distracted by some girl and didn't even notice the two men come to the door."

"Oh it's alright." Mikey told the lady. "It all turned out in the end, and at least you tried to protect us."

"Well good I'm glad you girls feel that way." Triss answered happily. "Well your grandma went to go help get more of the captured kids out but she'll be back in just a little while."

"What do you mean help?" Ari asked completely intrigued with the subject.

"Oh they got caught helping the kids escape so she has to go help them and the kids escape."

"Well what if she gets caught?" Mikey asked.

Triss kind of laughed when Mikey asked that question and answered very simply before turning and walking away very dramatically, "your grandma doesn't get caught." And with that she left the room with her brother in hand so they could privately talk.

"Do you think she's really never been caught?" Ari asked a few minutes after Triss and Kevin had left the room.

"I'm not sure." Mikey answered. "I mean it could be true but then again how many times has she actually been in a situation to have gotten caught in?" Mikey asked, making it seem as though her grandmother might not be as cool as Ari had obviously come to believe.

"I don't want to make grandma sound bad." Mikey said. "But we've never met her before and I don't really believe or trust anything she says until we get to know her way better than we do right now, as of right now she hasn't told us anything."

"Ya that's pretty smart and I agree but when she gets back and tells us her side of what's going on I'm going to give her a chance." Ari exclaimed

"I will too. But she will have to have something really big to say to earn my full trust." And with that Mikey picked up the TV remote that was sitting on the coffee table by there feet and started watching phineas and ferb.

So basically nothing's going on in this chapter and it's just a lot of information but it's information that needs to be told so stuff will make sence...anywho sorry this chapter is kind of boring and sorry I've taken so long to post again.
