Chapter 8: Do i believe you or naw?

There's a hundred and four days of summer vacation and school comes along just to end it....

Nina walked in the front door to the sound of Phineas and Ferb. "I use to love to watch this show." She exclaimed as she sat down in one of the large chairs next to the couch where the girls soundly slept.

"They're still sleeping?" Kevin asked clearly surprised as he walked into the room.

"Yep, how long have they been out like this?" Nina wondered. She must have asked the question out loud because Kevin answered her. "Oh, about two hours I would say. Basically the whole time you were gone."

"Well They deserve the right to sleep for awhile they've gotten a lot of information given to them in the last few hours."

"Ya, they've been through a lot." Kevin agreed as he gently brushed a little strand of hair out of Mikey's face admiringly.

"So you like my granddaughter don't you?" Nina asked Kevin with a smirk as she motioned towards Mikey.

"Uh what?" he said as he stumbled through his words trying to get away from Mikey so Nina wouldn't say anything else. "I'm just gonna go help Triss with whatever it is she's doing." Kevin said as his face turned red and he almost tripped over a chair trying to get out of the room in a hurry.

Laughing in amusement she gently brushed the same strand of hair on Mikey's face as Kevin had just minutes ago.

'Hey!" She said, smiling down at her grandaughter Mikey as she began to slowly wake up.

"Hi, so I think we need to talk about a few things." Mikey said sternly as she woke up in a hurry realizing who was sitting there in front of her.

"Alright sweetheart, what do you want to talk about?"

"Well for starters what are you going to want us to do? I mean I appreciate you helping us, and I know that Ari does too, but I know that a big boss like you will want us to do something to help your fight against Kevin's dad. Even being our Grandma, maybe you want to keep us out of it I don't know, but you're too good a leader to not use all the resources you have."

Laughing admiringly and obviously amused she agreed. "you're right I do want you girls to help, but I'm going to make sure you will be safe. You two girls are very special and I could use your abilities. I've observed you guys throughout your years, I've been watching you two, and your powers just continue to grow beyond any I've ever seen before.

"No! I can't use my powers, I don't know how. What if I hurt someone? what if..." she trailed off as Nina cut her off while hugging her.

"You don't have to worry about that, my team and I have been helping people with there powers for years and I promise we can help you as well. You just have to decide if you trust us, or if you even want to help with our cause. I will not make you or your sister do anything you don't want to, and if you decide not to help I will still find you a place you can live together that will be safe."

Mikey smiled as she looked towards her sister as she soundly slept without a care in the world. "I will have to talk to Ari, I can't and won't make her do anything she doesn't want to."

"I understand that completely."

"Nina?" A voice Mikey hadn't heard yet called out from the other room.

"Yes dear?"

"George just called, he wants to talk to you. But please hurry, he has men in the police department and might be tracing the call."

"George?" Mikey asked, not hearing the name before.

"Oh." Nina laughed. "George is Triss and Kevin's fathers name.

"Oh, I don't think I'd ever heard anyone say it before."

"Ok coming." Nina called back to the voice while getting up. Turning around towards Mikey real fast she quickly said. " Sorry i have to cut this conversation short i must talk to him. If you and Ari choose to help us then go to room 6 which is down the hall through the door to the right. I do have to warn you though, there will be a lot of tests you two must take if u choose to help." Then before waiting for a reply she quickly made her way to the waiting voice hoping she hadn't spend too much time talking.

"Ari! Ari! Wake up!"

"What is it Mikey? I'm trying to sleep."

"So what's new?" Mikey joked as she pulled her sister up into a sitting position on the couch. Mikey then relayed what Nina had told her.

"So what do you want to do?" Ari finally asked after listening to what Nina had told her sister.

"I always wanted to be a part of something big but I never knew it would be something like this. I didn't even believe that having powers could ever really happen. But learning that not only could I help our family end this once and for all, she could teach me how to use and control my powers so I don't hurt anyone" Mikey smiled remembering how Nina had said they were different then others she'd trained throughout the years.

Breaking the silence of Mikey's thinking Ari exclaimed, "Okay let's do it!"

"You really mean it?" Mikey shouted excitedly while jumping up off the couch.

"Well no I just said it." She laughed as she joined her sister standing up and hugged her as they swung around in there hug."Lets go to the room Nina said to go to if we decided to help."

"Ok let's go!" Mikey said half running to the door Nina had motioned towards earlier, you could obviously tell that was something exciting that she'd always hoped would happen in her once boring life.

Upon reaching the door Mikey realized the first test her Grandma had for them would be to open the door. The door was like any other wooden door, except instead of a traditional doorknob that you normally turn there was a keypad, you needed the right password before it would open.

So I am so sorry that I haven't been updating!!! My wonderful readers are being so patient and I appreciate it so much! I've been really busy and keep getting busy with school and church and now I'm trying to raise money to go on a missions trip to another country this summer so I'll have that. But I will try to keep writing, I wanna no What will happen too!!!! Please comment away!!!!!
