(Y/n's POV)

Fantastic. I'm now on the run with Wreck-It Ralph. Hopefully King Candy won't be angry with this. Ralph and I stop by a road, making sure to lie low.

"I gotta get my medal back," Ralph says.

"Why are you so obsessed with a medal?" I ask.

"It's my ticket to living in the penthouse," he replies.

"The penthouse? The one you're supposed to wreck in the game? Why? Where do you live?" I ask him.

"I live in the dump by the building. Everyone always thinks I'm a bad guy," he replies, looking a bit sad, and I can't help feeling sorry for him.

     "So. . . you're a bad guy, but you're not a bad guy," I realize.

"Pretty much. I just want to prove I'm not what everybody thinks," he explains.

"Ralph, getting a medal isn't what proves you're a good guy. A medal is just some shiny object. You show people you're a good guy based on your actions," I tell him.

The racers from earlier suddenly drive by.

"The pot goes to the winning racer! Come on!" Ralph says as he follows the racers. "Hey, kids! Can I talk to you for a second?"

I roll my eyes in annoyance but follow after him to follow the racers. We find them at the bottom of a hill. They have surrounded that little girl Vanellope, who is working on her kart, and are now approaching her. Ralph and I lie low so we don't get caught.

"Hello, fellow racers!" she greets them.

"It's that little crumbsnatcher," Ralph grumbles.

"Candlehead, Taffyta, Rancis, you're looking well. Came by to check out the competition, huh? Well, here it is, the Lickity-Split!" Vanellope says as she shows off her shabby-looking kart.

"Sheesh. Looks like she built it herself," Ralph says.

"Built it myself. Fastest pedal-power west of the Whack-A-Mole. Check her out," Vanellope brags as she hops into her kart and starts pedaling, though it doesn't move since it's up on a jack.

"Oh, Vanellope, it's so. . . you. But you have to back out of the race. Yeah," Taffyta says.

Vanellope hops out of her kart and approaches Taffyta.

"Oh, no, I don't, because, you know, I paid my fee and I'm on the board. So, yeah, I'm definitely racing," she says.

"Yeah, well, King Candy says glitches can't race," Taffyta retorts.

"I'm not a glitch, Taffyta," Vanellope argues as she glitches. "I just have pixlexia, okay?"

Taffyta ignores her and walks over to Vanellope's kart.

"The rules are there for a reason, Vanellope. To protect us," Taffyta says before getting in Vanellope's kart. "Say I'm you. I'm in my weird little car, and I'm driving, and I actually feel kinda cool for once. And then, all of a sudden, oh no! I'm gl-gl-gl-gl-gl-glitching!"

I gasp when Taffyta rips the steering wheel right off!

     "Hey!" Vanellope shouts.

"See? You're an accident just waiting to happen," Taffyta insults Vanellope as she hops out of the kart and throws the steering wheel at her.

"Oh, no! I g-g-g-glitched, too!" Jubileena Bing-Bing says as she walks toward the kart and smacks the open hood loose.

The other racers join her in breaking the kart, pretending to glitch as they destroy it.
