(Ralph's POV)

I stand on the balcony of the penthouse. Everybody else has left because of me. Felix came looking for me after the "Out Of Order" paper was put on the game. When he didn't return, the Nicelanders left. I yank the medal King Candy gave me from my neck, and I stare at it as I remember (Y/n)'s words. "Getting a medal isn't what proves you're a good guy. A medal is just some shiny object. You show people you're a good guy based on your actions." She was right. Angry, I throw the medal at the screen. The medal smacks against the screen, and the impact causes the tape on the "Out Of Order" paper to release, making the paper go crooked.

Through the gap, I can see the Sugar Rush console. I take off the homemade medal Vanellope made me and turn it to the side that says "You're my Hero." I close my fingers around it and look at the console again. But then I see something on the console's side. It's a picture of Vanellope! Something is definitely not right.

I hurry back to Sugar Rush and back to Diet Cola Mountain. Sour Bill is loading the scraps of Vanellope's kart into a trash can.

"Hey, cough drop!" I say, and he looks up at me. "Explain something to me. If Vanellope was never meant to exist, then why is her picture on the side of the game console?"

He stares at me with an expressionless face for a second before trying to run off, but I grab him.

"What's going on in this candy-coated heart of darkness?" I demand.

     "Nothing," he responds.

     "Talk!" I demand.

     "No," he refuses.

"I'll lick you!" I threaten him.

     "You wouldn't," he challenges me.

"Oh, yeah?" I challenge back, and I lick him.

     "It's like sandpaper!" he cringes.

"Wonder how many licks it'll take to get to your center," I say with a smirk.

"I'll take it to my grave!" he refuses again.

"Fair enough," I say, and I toss Sour Bill into my mouth, puckering at the very sour taste. "They call you Sour Bill for a reason."

I pull the squealing piece of candy out of my mouth.

"Had enough yet?" I ask him.

"Okay, okay! I'll talk, I'll talk!" he gives in. "Vanellope was a racer until King Candy tried to delete her code!"

"Tried to delete her code? So that's why she's a glitch!" I realize. "Why is he doing this to her?"

     "I don't know," he replies.

"Suit yourself," I say, and I get ready to put him back in my mouth, but he stops me.

"No, no, no, no, no, no! I swear, I don't know! He literally locked up our memories, and I cannot remember! Nobody can!" Sour Bill explains. "But I do know this: he'll do anything to keep her from racing. Because if she crosses the finish line, the game will reset and she won't be a glitch anymore!"

"Where is she now?" I ask.

"In the fungeon with Fix-It Felix," he replies.

     "Felix?" I question.

"I'm sorry! That's all I know! That's all I know, I swear! Now please, don't put me back in your filthy mouth again!" he sobs.

I stick the talking candy onto a lollipop tree.
