(Y/n's POV)
"Great! Follow me!" Vanellope cheers and starts leading me and Ralph to our destination, and then looks at me. "So, mind telling me your name, miss?"
"I'm (Y/n) (L/n)," I tell her.
"What game are you from?" she asks me.
"Um. . . I'm actually not from a game," I tell her carefully.
"She's from the human world," Ralph blurts out, and Vanellope stops and looks at me with a mixture of shock and awe.
"You're a human?" she asks.
"Yep," I reply with a nervous chuckle.
She suddenly gets all excited and jumps around me, making me giggle a bit.
"A human is in the game world?! I don't believe it! How did you get here?" she asks me.
"All I know is that I made a wish to come here, and next thing I know, I'm here," I reply.
"Awesome! No human has ever come here before!" she shouts with excitement.
"First time for everything, I suppose," I say.
We all continue walking when I remember something.
"By the way, Ralph, when we were brought to King Candy's castle, he said something about you going Turbo. What exactly does that mean?" I ask him.
"Oh, that's quite a story," he says. "See, back when the arcade first opened, TurboTime was by far the most popular game. And Turbo. . . well, he loved the attention. So, when RoadBlasters got plugged in and stole Turbo's thunder, boy, was he jealous. So jealous that he abandoned his game and tried to take over the new one. Turbo ended up putting both games and himself out of order. . . for good."
I am shocked from what I hear. I remember my dad showing me a picture a few years before he died. The picture was of him and his friends when they were kids, standing by the TurboTime game. The Turbo character was on the side of the arcade game. He had pale skin, yellow eyes and teeth, and he wore a red-and-white race suit and a white helmet that had a red "T" on it.
"So when someone leaves their game to join another game, they're going Turbo?" I ask.
"Ding, ding, ding," Vanellope says.
"My dad told me he played TurboTime with his friends when he was a kid. He wasn't happy when it got unplugged," I say, and I look at my surroundings. "Makes you wonder what would've happened if he took over this beautiful place, huh?"
"Thankfully, my friend, we don't have to worry about that," Vanellope says.
