EIRLYS

                     I CANNOT PROCESS all the things that Draven told me. Para akong nabingi na hindi ko rin maintindihan. My brain can't accept the things he said. Ayaw maniwala ng utak ko. At mas lalong ayaw maniwala ng puso ko.

"What kind of bullshit is this, Draven?" I asked him with my trembling voice.

"So, you are not really aware, huh?" He chuckled.

Mas lalong umapaw ang galit sa dibdib ko dahil sa pagtawa niya. He thinks I'm stupid because I got fooled by Xelios, too, huh? That Xelios hit two birds at the same time?

Fuck.

"How did you know this? How did you know all of this?!" I shouted because I cannot control my emotion anymore.

I thought he's different from everyone.

Draven sighed. I feel like he's ready to tell me the story. The detailed story.

"He's our rival, my dear wife. I must know everything about him so I would know his weaknesses."

Draven's drunk, but he's still functional. It's just my heart that doesn't want to believe him.

I remained silent because I want to hear everything in detailed. Kahit na bumibigat ang loob ko dahil sa mga nalaman ko.

"He got married seven years ago, Eirlys. With his long term girlfriend, Amaryllis. They had a son three years after. He was our rival not only in business, but also in underground business. Papa's dealing with drug dealers and your lover wants to butt in and stop our illegal transactions because his father-in-law was a high ranked policeman. He wants to impress him."

They... had a son.

Where are they now?

"Papa was so devastated because most of our business partners backed out. Nagsisimula pa lang kami no'n, Eirlys. My father and your father were high school friends, but they lost their communication that's why he cannot just ask for your father's help. Plus your father would never help us if we are going to use the money in drugs.

"Since papa was devastated, he planned something against Valencia. In order to start again the transaction, he must remove the threat. Papa planned the ambush. He wanted to kill Xelios through shooting him. But Papa made a big mistake. It wasn't Xelios who were inside the tinted car. It was his pregnant wife."

I gasped. I can feel the warm tears streaming down my cheeks. Those tears are unstoppable. I cannot imagine a pregnant woman got shot! I cannot imagine Xelios' pain.

"A-are they safe?" I cannot even see him because of tears in my eyes.

He looked away and avoided my eyes. "Valencia's wife was dead on arrival, Eirlys. But they took the baby out of her, their baby survived, but she didn't. She died because we thought that Valencia was there."

"Oh, God..." I cried. "You murderer!"

Now I understand why Xelios hates them so much. He lost his life. He lost his wife. He lost his supposed to be happy family just for what? So, these assholes could continue their disgusting transactions?! How cruel!

"Hindi namin sinasadya 'yon, Eirlys. Akala namin siya ang nasa kotse! We never wanted anyone to die aside from him! And can you please stop being biased here, Eirlys?! Nakabawi naman siya. He killed our mother for fuck's sake!" He shouted.

Now I don't know what to believe anymore. Did Xelios really killed Draven's mother? Could be! Because his wife got killed and he will seek for revenge!

"And what? Hindi pa siya nakuntento. He's probably the one who killed papa. And you... he took you from me because he knew that you are the only one I have!" He's crying, too.
