EIRLYS

                      I WATCHED HER trying to act cool while drinking her coffee. I was just patiently watching her habang hinihintay siyang matapos sa pag-inom.

She agreed to talk to me kaya naman nandito kami sa isang coffee shop. Draven kept calling me ngunit iniignora ko lang ito.

She stopped drinking her coffee habang humalukipkip naman ako.

"I'm sure you know me. I'm your boyfriend's youngest sister," Panimula ko.

She forced herself to smile. "You're familiar to me, Eirlys..." She gently said. "I'm Kasia Ayla Reyes-Bernaldez."

Tumango tango ako. "I know you. You were an actress in our country."

Natigilan siya saglit bago tumango.

"I won't act fool or something, Mrs. Bernaldez. People in our country knew that you married your co-star years ago. So how come you kissed my brother earlier?" I tried to be sound polite and not intimidating, tho.

She pressed her lips together, can't find the right words to answer me. And that moment, I knew what she was doing.

We're doing the same thing. We're cheating on our husbands.

But... what was her reason? And my brother agreed to this? For what? Because Xelios agreed to be my lover because he's gaining here, too. And I'm cheating on my husband because he deserves my rage and all the karma he's about to face.

Because I know my brother so well. Alam kong gusto niya ang mga challenges sa buhay at thrill, ngunit hindi siya papasok sa ganitong klaseng relasyon. Mas gugustuhin noong mag sugal na lang kesa pumasok sa ganitong relasyon. But... if he's in this kind of relationship, he must be in love with this woman.

"I am not perfect, Mrs. Bernaldez. But I really suggest to choose only one because you can't keep them both. Hindi pwedeng dalawa, Mrs. Bernaldez. It's either iiwan mo ang asawa mo para sa kapatid ko o iiwan mo ang kapatid ko para bumalik sa asawa mo. Don't worry, you're still welcome in our family if you will make a right decision. No judgements,"

Because how can I judge you? Parehas lang ang ginagawa natin. And you seemed genuine. I just can't find reasons why you're doing this.

And yes... hindi pwedeng dalawa. Kahit kailan ay hindi pwede ‘yon. Katulad ng sinabi kong gawin ni Kasia, kailangan ko ring mamili sa pagdating ng taon. O kung wala man akong mapili, I'd choose myself, then.
