Chapter 17 ~ Forbidden City

Luna's P.O.V

I was in the Hangar with Finn, Junko, and Aerrow as we started working on putting together my skimmer, it was still under maintenance but it's coming together.

Aerrow: Okay, that should do it. Test it out, Luna
Luna: Got it

I turned on the engine as I turn it to see if the wheels are working, so far we were on a roll.

Luna: Whoohoo!! Listen to that engine roar!!!
Junko: Just a few adjustments and we'll have the wings ready
Luna: It's too bad, who were we suppose to meet today?
Aerrow: I don't know, Piper is the only one who knows
Piper: Alright, I'm ready!
Aerrow: Okay, Luna we're gonna have to wait on the wings next time
Luna: Got it

Everyone hopped on to their rides as I hopped onto Mags's skimmer while Stork was with Finn, we drove off and went to Terra Xoam where we would be meeting some explorer Piper can't stop talking about.

Piper: When we meet him, let me do the talking. I. J. Domiwick is a legend. So please, don't do anything embarrassing and [look at Luna] No glittering explosives
Luna: Hey, I didn't had it, Finn did
Finn: How was I suppose to know what it was, you don't label them
Luna: That's because you snatched from the piles inside the box "labeled" glitter bombs
Piper: [glares] Finn
Finn: Eh heh, whoops
Aerrow: What's so great about this guy, anyway?
Luna: Yeah, I never heard of him
Piper: He's only the most famous explorer in all of Atmos. He's smart, he's brave...
Luna:... Yeah I got nothing

Once we arrived at our destination, we spotted a  blonde man wearing an outfit similar to a movie character from some adventurous movie. Piper was so overjoyed that she went to get his autograph on the book about him while I stood next to Stork and crossed my arms.

Piper: You're adventurous, you're scientific
Domiwick: Don't forget handsome, charming, and successful
Luna: I see the appearance but where's the charming and successful part
Mags: Heh, right

Just then, Domiwick spotted me and walked up as I went stiffed when he picked up my hand and kissed it.

Domiwick: And who's this beautiful girl?
Piper: That's Luna
Domiwick: Luna, I've heard about you... Shouldn't you be wearing something pretty

My face went red as I stomped his foot hard, making him yelp as he held his foot while I walked away towards Finn.

Luna: Hmph! Men

[Aerrow and Mags chuckle]

Piper: Luna!! I'm sorry, she's not really into being a "Lady in Waiting" thing
Luna: YOU BETTER GET THAT THROUGH YOUR HEAD!!!
Piper: Eh heh. I've ready all your books. I even wrote you a fan letter once. But I'm just babbling now
Domiwick: Not at all, get this all the time. I'm sure your "friend" is just being feisty

I glared at Domiwick as I growled at him, until Finn patted my head to calm me down. We followed Domiwick as he lead us to a tent, since he had something to show us.

Domiwick: You've come at an exciting time. I'm about to lead the first expedition to explore the mysteries of the Forbidden City
Piper: You actually found a way in?
Mags: That's just not possible
Piper: If you need anything at all, the Storm Hawks are at your service
Domiwick: Very thoughtful, but not necessary [pull the curtains] as you can see, I already have all the help I need
Luna: [eyes widen] [gasp] You've got to be kidding me!!
Piper: Cyclonians?

We couldn't believe our own eyes, Domiwick got help from the Cyclonians, that can only mean that either the Dark Ace, Ravess, or Master Cyclonis is here, unfortunately it was Ravess's dimwit brother, Snipe.
