The Escape [Comic Edition]

The Storm Hawks were relaxing and having a day off since there has not been a single Cyclonian Talon activity going on, they all assume they were just keeping the down low for now. While they were relaxing, Luna and Stork went off to get some few things they need from a terra. As Luna was flying with Stork back to the Condor, carrying a large brown bag with them, she was humming a tune as they were heading back.

Luna: A task well done. See Stork, we didn't need to bring the whole Condor, there's not a talon in the sky
Stork: Oh~ but it's only a matter of time before we get struck by one of them
Luna: I know you're overreacting Stork but you need to relax, we're halfway there and there's nothing in this world that could stop us now

Just then, one of Luna's wings on her skimmer got struck, causing Luna to almost lose her balance in the air. Both sky knights looked back and saw talons right behind them, blasting them with energy blast at them.

Stork: Cyclonian Talons!!!
Luna: Hang on!!!

Luna turned her skimmer around as they flew around to avoid getting hit, but their fears have yet to come when they looked up ahead and spotted the last person they ever want to encounter. Snipe.

Stork: Oh~ we're doomed
Luna: You said it, Stork... [press a button] Mayday!! Mayday!! This is Luna and Stork from the Storm Hawks!!! Requesting backup!! We're located at-

Before they could tell them where they were, Snipe's energy mace came at Luna's Comwatch as it destroyed her contact with anyone while Luna yelped in pain as she held her wrist.

Snipe: No backup coming to your rescue now!! Hahaha!!!

Back with the Storm Hawks, they were casually doing some chores when they heard the speakers on as Luna's voice was heard in a panic tone.

Luna [Speakers]: [static] Mayday!! Mayday!! This is Luna and Stork from the Storm Hawks!!! Requesting backup!! We're located at- Bzzzzttttt [static]
Mags: Luna?... Stork?... Luna!! Stork!! Come in!! We lost the signal!
Piper: Oh no, where could they be? They could be anywhere
Finn: Dude, my girlfriend is in danger!!

[Recording Scratch]

The Storm Hawks looked at Finn with a "Really?" And unamused look on their faces, while Finn cleared his throat and corrected himself.

Finn: Ahem!! I mean Stork and Luna are in danger [nervously laughs]
Junko: Where could they be?
Piper: Don't know, before she could tell us the communication cutoff, they could be anywhere
Mags: Is there anyway to track them?
Aerrow: Knowing Luna's comwatch, someone must've destroyed it. Piper, contact any sky knights to see if they've seen Stork and Luna
Mags: You sure you didn't plant any tracking devices on Luna skimmer or an emergency tracker in case her Comwatch gets destroyed?
Aerrow: I'm sure of it, if I knew I would've told you Mags
Mags: Like that one time when we had to look for Luna and you forgot to tell us that you had a tracker on Luna's Comwatch this whole time

[Recording scratch]

Aerrow: Ahem! First of all, we didn't think-
Mags: "We"?! No no no no no!! You! Didn't think-
Aerrow: WE!! Didn't think about a tracker until I remembered, happy?
Mags: Somewhat

Meanwhile, back with Luna and Stork, they managed to get away from Snipe and the talons but Luna noticed more talons patrolling the skies.

Luna: Ugh!! More talons, how annoying... Any luck?
Stork: [sigh] Nope, still dead... How's your wrist?
Luna: Meh, it's been through worse. We just need to find out why these guys are around, we sure didn't set off an alarm to alert them that we're here... So why are they around. Hmmm
Stork: Wait a minute, you want to see why they're here?
Luna: There could be an outpost here, let's investigate
Stork: Or~ we could stay out of danger and wait for back up
Luna: C'mon Stork, what's it gonna take for me to convince you to go on this adventure? I'll do anything!! [eyes widen]
Stork: [smirk] Anything?
Luna: Hold on wait!! I didn't mean-
Stork: You said "I'll do anything"~
Luna: [pout] Fine~ what do you want?
Stork: I will require some cool down laps, caresses on my head every week, extra cuddle times, and~ I get to take you anywhere I want on our next date
Luna: What?! I had plans to go to-
Stork: Take it or leave it
Luna: Ugh!! Fine, you win
Stork: Then let's get going
Luna: You know I hate you, right?
Stork: No you don't, you love me~ and the nickname I gave you, Moonpie~ [kiss her cheeks]
Luna: Can't argue with that
