Chapter 78 ~ The Return

Piper [Narrating]: Squadron Log, the war is finally over. Master Anarchis was over, the Dark Ace was also defeated and is now to his normal self physically, but not mentally. He still insist on reconnecting with Luna, denying that their break up wasn't true, it hurt Luna to see him in this psychological damage but thankfully Aerrow who is going to be her adoptive brother comforted her. Every sky knight has finally met Canary, Hawks, Robin, Lexa, and Fenir and sure enough they forged a peace treaty with the people of Atmos and the people of the Far Side. Everyone gathered together and were preparing themselves to return home, but told us that there would be a surprise once we head back.

The Storm Hawks watched as the Sky Knights from each terra head back one by one, till the Rex Guardians and Zodiacs were the last sky squadrons to be heading back.

Scorpio: You're up next Harrier
Harrier: Alright, Rex Guardians, onward!

The Rex Guardians airship flew up as it went through the portal, the Zodiacs gathered their stuff and headed to their airship till Scorpio looked back at the Storm Hawks.

Scorpio: As soon as we get through, you guys will come through
Aerrow: Got it
Scorpio: Hopefully it can last long
Piper: If anything goes wrong, Cyclonis, Luna, and I will handle it
Scorpio: Got it, Zodiacs, let's move out!

The Zodiacs stepped into their airship as it started up and they flew into the portal, they waited for a few minutes to make sure that they wouldn't crash into them when it was their turn to return home.

Aerrow: Alright guys, time for us to go home
Finn: Can't wait to see what the surprise it!! Maybe it's a swarm of fans
Junko: Or a feast
Piper: Maybe we'll finally be recognized by the chiefs of Atmos that we're truly sky knights
Mags: Maybe, but whatever happens, we have each other
Cyclonis: Right, I can't wait to start redeeming myself when we get back
Aerrow: Cyclonis, you know everyone thinks you've had a change of heart. It's gonna take some time for them to fully trust you, but trust me, the process will be worth it
Cyclonis: Thank you
Luna: Plus, look on the bright side, you have Celenia to look after you. Trust me, nothing could go wrong
Capricorn [Hologram]: Storm Hawks, we're ready for your arrival
Aerrow: We're on our way. Let's go home guys
Storm Hawks/Cyclonis: YEAH!!
Aerrow: Stork, take us through

Stork started up the Condor as they were about to take flight when out of no where the portal was somehow destabilizing and acting up for some reason, this caused the others to panic when Piper, Cyclonis, and Luna looked at each other and nodded. They rushed forward and blasted a beam of energy to keep the portal stable, it slowly became stable but was still glitching for a bit.

Piper: Something's wrong with the portal!
Cyclonis: It's not fully stable, something must've went wrong

Just then, the Storm Hawks looked at each other till they all looked at Luna, while she looked confused till she realized why.

Luna: Hey! I had nothing to do with this!
Aerrow: Someone jinxed it
Capricorn [Hologram]: Guys!! We got a problem!!
Aerrow: Yeah, we know, the portal is destabilizing in our side
Capricorn [Hologram]: Oh, so you know. But listen carefully! It's safe for you guys to go through but-
Aerrow: That's great, we'll speed it up and-
Capricorn [Hologram]: Aerrow wait! There's only one problem, I checked the readings of the portal and it turns out it's will only last up to 8 people
Aerrow: But... there's only 10 of us, that means
Capricorn: Two of you have to stay behind

Everyone stared with wide eyes as they realized that the whole squad wont be complete, only two had to stay behind at the Far Side of Atmos.

Aerrow: Well, what about Canary and Hawks, they can help keep it-
Capricorn [Hologram]: Aerrow, even with them it still won't stay stable for long to last 10 people. I'm sorry, but maybe if we can figure out how [static] [call dies]
Aerrow: Capricorn? Capricorn?!
Piper: Aerrow... What do we do?
Aerrow:... I... I don't know, I want all of us to go together, but...
Cyclonis: [breathe] [step up] I'll stay behind
Storm Hawks: What?!
Radarr: [Squawk]
Azul: Kuriii~?!
Piper: No! You can't stay behind, you're this close to being part of a family with Celenia, you two made up, you can't
Cyclonis: But it's my fault for finding that door, I should take responsibility and stay behind, as punishment for trying to take over Atmos
Luna: [frown] Cyclonis
Aerrow: No, you won't stay behind Cyclonis, Celenia has waited so many years searching for you and she's finally reunited with you. I wouldn't want to take that away from you and Celenia
Cyclonis: Then what else can we do?
Aerrow:... I'll stay behind with Radarr
Storm Hawks/Cyclonis: NO!!!
Finn: Dude, you're our leader! What will we do without one?!
Aerrow: I completed the Storm Hawks legacy to unite the kingdoms, now it's time for me to secure your futures
Mags: Aerrow, you can't abandon us! Not like this, you have a legacy to honor
Aerrow: Well then, what do you suggest Mags?
Mags: [frown] Me and Azul will stay behind
