Chapter 72 ~ Redemption

Cyclonis stood there shocked to see the ghost of her parents, they were at Terra Muerto the whole time even though her grandmother forbid her from going to the terra. Only to realize why she didn't want her to go, cause the ghost of her parents were here. Her breathing shaken as she saw them look just the same when they died, tears streaming down her cheeks as she was happy to see them here.

Cyclonis: Mom... Dad... You're both here
Mavis [Spirit]: Cyclonis... Is that really you?
Cyclonis: It is, mom. It's me, your daughter
Altair [Spirit]: Cyclonis, my little girl, look at you. You've grown up so much
Cyclonis: Dad.. I'm sorry, I'm sorry for not visiting you both, I'm sorry for taking this path... [sobs] [sobs] I ruined everything for my future [sniff] I could've had a better life
Mavis [Spirit]: Oh Cyclonis, it's not your fault, you didn't cause this
Altair [Spirit]: It's not your fault
Cyclonis: But it is [sobs] I should've stopped her, I should've saved you both my grandmother, if I did you both wouldn't be here [sobs] [sobs]
Altair [Spirit]: Save...
Mavis [Spirit]: Stop her..
Altair/Mavis [Spirit]: Grandmother

Altair and Mavis gasped when a flash of memory rushed right into their minds when they remembered the event that took place, they saw her energy staff that Cyclonis had and remembered Anarchis with the same energy staff aiming at them and taking them out.

Cyclonis: [sniff] [sniff] Mother? Father? What's wrong?
Altair [Spirit]: We remembered now, how we died
Cyclonis: You didn't remember it? Why?
Mavis [Spirit]: It's how we ended up here, once we're at Terra Muerto, we can't remember how we die, only a matter of time is when we remember. Once we do, we can finally step into the light
Cyclonis: What? But I just found you, you can't leave-
Mavis [Spirit]: Sweetie, we can't stay long, the one thing to ease our pain is to finally see you, one last time
Altair [Spirit] And she kept her promise
Cyclonis: Promise? Wait, Luna
Mavis [Spirit]: Yes, she promised us that she would bring you back, and she kept that promise
Cyclonis: She did... I realized the truth, you both cared for me while my grand-... Anarchis, twisted my mind thinking that I needed to rule Atmos, but what's the point if she's the one who took away my parents
Altair [Spirit]: My little girl, you're a big girl now, you can make your own decisions. Don't let anyone dictate how your life should be
Cyclonis: [sobs] [sobs] I will, I promise you mom and dad
Mavis [Spirit]: Altair... It's time
Altair [Spirit]: Right now?
Mavis [Spirit]: Yes, but never forget Cyclonis. You are a strong, independent, and brave girl. Don't let Anarchis dictate your life, now it's time for you to make your own decisions

Mavis and Altair approached Cyclonis and kissed her forehead, as Cyclonis teared up more when she felt their kiss on her head. Her parents went down and outside as Cyclonis followed to see them looking back at her, her mother blew her a kiss while her father smiled back at her. Cyclonis cried and watch them slowly step into the light, when suddenly human size glass jar trapped them both, preventing them from stepping into the light. Cyclonis gasped in horror and rushed towards her parents, trying to break the glass jar with her own bare hands.

Cyclonis: No no no!! Mother!! Father!!!
Altair [Spirit]: Cyclonis!! What's happening?!
Cyclonis: I don't know!!

[Footsteps... Footsteps]

Dark Ace: So this is where you've been, Cyclonis
Cyclonis: [turn around] Dark Ace, what is the meaning of this?!
Dark Ace: Well, I had a chat with your grandmother and she informed me to find you, but I think giving her your ghostly parents could be rewarding, a good family reunion
Cyclonis: [glares] Let them go!!
Dark Ace: Oh they'll be of good use, for you to obey. And to ensure that the Storm Hawks will surrender too, I took the liberty of revisiting a few ghostly people from the past

Cyclonis looked past the Dark Ace's shoulder and saw Lighting Strike, Nora, and Marietta, trapped inside the same jar, just like her parents, but they looked weaken and exhausted.
