Zayns P.O.V
I was just chilling with the boys when my phone rang. I picked it up and saw that the ID was unknown.
"Hello?" I said into the phone.
"Zayn, it's Jade." I heard her familiar voice come through the speaker.
"Hey, what's up?" I asked, curious as to why she'd called me.
"It's Perrie," she started. That got me interested.
"Why? What's wrong?" I said, voice filled with worry. Harry turned down the T.V, thinking this was a serious matter. I nodded to him as Jade started to speak to me again.
"Zayn, she's upset. We don't know why!" Jade said.
"Ok, I'll be there soon." I replied.
"Thank you Zayn" she said. I heard sobbing in the background and I knew this was serious.
"See you soon Jade." I said as I hung up the phone. The boys looked at me with concern.
"Everything alright mate?" Niall asked. I shook my head.
"Perrie's upset and I don't know why. I going over there now, is that alright with you lads?" I asked.
"Sure, we don't mind. Go" Louis said, ushering me out the door. I grabbed my phone and keys from the bench and got into my car. I quickly drove to Perrie's house. A sweet little Victorian house. Quite unusual for Perrie.
I got out of my car that was parked on the curb and rushed up the pathway. I rang the doorbell, anxious for the door to open. When it did, I saw Jade standing there.
"Thank you Zayn" she said, giving me a quick hug. That confused me. I must've had a confused look on my face because she said quickly, "For coming here.. That's all." and led me into the lounge room. There I saw Leigh-Anne and Jesy, either side of Perrie, trying to calm her down and to tell them what's wrong. Jesy noticed me first, and got out of her spot on the sofa and gestured for me to sit down.
I whispered "Thank you." and sat down next to Perrie. I wrapped my arms around my sobbing girlfriend. She was shaking so much that I decided to hum my favourite song on the album, More Than This (AN-This is before TMH came out so yeah) and she started to calm down a bit. She was soon sniffling and wiping away her tears.
"Perrie.." I said softly.
"Mmm?" she hummed in response.
"What's wrong love?" I asked as she pulled away from our embrace.
"I-I.. The hate" she said simply, but that was enough to make her break down again. I pulled her into another hug and she didn't complain. I looked at Jesy and Jade, who were standing over near the doorway, Leigh-Anne still being seated on the other side of Perrie.
"Shhh.." I whispered into Perrie's ear.
"You shouldn't let the hate get to you.." She just sniffled.
"I cant help it Zayn! There's so much!" she said, trying to control her tears. When she did I signalled to Leigh-Anne to get a glass of water. She nodded, getting up and moving to the kitchen.
She came back and handed the glass to a now calmer Perrie. I rubbed her back, trying to soothe her. She put down the glass of water of the coffee table and leaned back. To all of our surprise, she started giggling. I just started at her. How..? What? I don't understand this girl. But that what makes her special. I looked over to the other girls and they had the same expression on their faces.
"Uh, Perrie? Are you OK?" Jesy asked. Perrie just nodded and continued laughing.
"She doesn't look OK" Jade added. Perrie's laughter died down for a little bit.
"No, I'm not OK" she said. She grabbed her glass of water and stood up.
"I'm going to my room" she said, and left us all in the lounge room, staring after her. I must've had a funny look on my face because the other girls laughed. Well, more like they smiled a little and then stopped.
"Do you know what's wrong with her?" I asked them. They shook their heads. I sighed and sat back on the couch. I stood up to go and see if she was OK, but Jade stopped me and shook her head.
"She needs to be alone Zayn, for whatever the reason, I'm sure it's to do with her moods" she said quietly. "You sure it's just not her.. you know" I said. She sighed.
"I doubt it" she replied.
"Tell her I'll call her later" I said to Jade as I walked towards the door.
"Where are you going?" she asked me.
"I-I need to do something. Think" I said, before walking out the door.
