Zayn's P.O.V
After I texted Perrie, I didn't know what to do. It was too early to get ready, being only 2.45pm. I had lied to Perrie about the whole 'boys night out' thing, but not really. They were helping me plan out the date I've planned for Perrie. The date may not be all that great but hey, at least I tried right?
"Hey Zayn, where do you want us to put the table?"
"Um, here I'll help."
"Zayn, I've got three other boys to help me. Just tell me where you want it."
"Fine. Put it under the tree, and get Lou and Niall to help you."
"OK."
"Oh! And don't forget to put the fairy lights up Liam! It needs to look amazing!"
"Alright, alright! Zayn calm down, she's gonna love it mate." Liam said. getting agitated.
"I lied to her, though. This has to be perfect for her to forgive me."
"Zayn, we wouldn't have agreed to help you if we knew it was gonna turn out shit, alright?"
I took a deep breath and released it slowly.
"Yeah, I suppose. Thanks Harry."
"It's alright, mate. Now, go back home or wherever you're going to change and get ready!" he said, urging me on.
I sighed and nodded. "Yeah, OK. Thanks lads." I said before hugging them quickly and heading towards my car. I checked my phone and read the un-read message from Perrie.
Peerrrriieexxxx- Hey! So, no 'boys night out?' LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE! Ahaha, no seriously. What's going on? Where are we going? How nice do I have to dress? ZAAAAAYYYYNNNN!?
I chuckled softly at her text. She always worries when I take her out on dates, but she doesn't need to. She looks beautiful either way she dresses, homeless or gorgeous. No, I didn't mean that in a bad way, but when she dresses in trackies and one of my shirts just say. That's what I mean by homeless.
Zayynn- Hey babe! Yeah, I lied to you.. Sorry!! Hope you forgive me! I had to give you a reason why I wouldn't be home today, and that's the shittiest excuse I could give to you. I hope this date makes up for it.. If not, then I leave for London feeling guilty and like a shitty boyfriend, and we all know a sad Zayn doesn't record good music! ;) Ahaha no seriously love, just dress like you normally do, spectacularly. I know you won't fail the task. Love you and see you soon! xxx
I sent the text then started to drive. I had rented out a hotel room for me to get ready in, so I wouldn't attract Perrie's attention to my sneakiness. I rolled up to the hotel and parked down the side street. I had a couple of hours to kill, so I just did whatever. Watching TV and playing video games got boring, so I made sure I got a room with a piano in it. News flash, I know. I can play piano, I just don't want to flaunt it to everyone that much. I haven't shared my piano-playing skills with anyone, and I don't plan to.
It was only 3.57pm so I had an hour and a half or so to get ready, so I sat down and thought of a song I knew that I could play. I remembered I taught myself how to play 'If I Lose Myself' by One Republic, I don't even know why. I sat down and played it for a bit, struggling to remember what the right chords were.
(Video to the side.)
"I stared up at the sun
Thought of all the people, places and things I've loved
I stand up just to see
Of all the faces,
you are the one next to me
