Chapter. 11

Link's Pov:

"Where were you?" He asks again when I don't answer. "Getting fro-yo."

"You're grounded! You shouldn't have gone to do that. You disobeyed me! Again!!"

"I didn't think it would matter since I got you Chick-fil-a." I say handing him the food bag. "Fine.. I'll let it slide." He says, rolling his eyes with a small grin. "I think I'm going to crash.. Didn't sleep much."

"Alright sleep well.. But you're grounded for another day."

"Fine." I say giving him a small hug. He ruffles up my hair as I pull away.

Zelda's Pov:

I walk into the house, bringing in August and my things. I close the door and set August down. I go up stairs and walk into my untouched room, flopping onto my bed. "Mm.. So much better than the floor." I sigh. There's a knock at the door and I get up to answer it. "Father?" I ask slightly surprised. "I wanted to ask if you wanted to join me for dinner." He asks in a small voice. "Honestly.. I would love to." I smile, giving into the urge to hug him. It takes a moment before he hugs me back but I enjoy it. "Well I have a few business calls to make so I'll see you at dinner." He says looking unsure. "Alright."

One Month Later.

"Good morning." I smile sitting down next to Link in math. He nods a small smile on his face. "Are you alright?" I ask seeing... Sadness in his eyes as he looks up at the teacher. He nods looking down at a scar on his forearm. 'I've never seen that before... It's not fresh.. Huh.. Maybe I'll as about it later.'

During lunch I see Link get in line and decide to ask him about the scar. "Hey." I smile walking over to him. "Hey.." He mutters, only glancing at me. "Are you alright?"

"Yup." He says clearly lying. "Meet me outside and we'll talk about it."

"Fine.."

"Thank you." I smile, turning to leave. "Zelda."

"Yes?"

"Thank you... For caring." He says sadly. "I'll always care about you." I smile, looking into his eyes just to find an emotion I've only seen there once.. The day I sang for him.. The day I knew I had fallen for him. And I head outside.. And wait for him.

He comes out with a small amount of food.. "What's wrong?" I ask as he sits down. "Nothing."

"No, something is wrong.. You're hardly eating anything.. That's not like you."

"Please.. Don't." He whispers, finally looking up at me. "Link.. You've got to talk to me.. Please. I want to help."

"I.. I... can't..." He whispers, his hands shaking. "Yes you can.. Because you are so strong."

"No I'm not.. I can't..." He says his face low and quiet. "Link."

"I can't relive it now.. Not when I relive it in my dreams..." He says his voice cracking slightly. "Ok.. But promise me you wont run.. don't run forever from whatever it is.."

"Ok.." He nods.

After school I get home and get welcomed with a small hug. "How was school?" Father asks letting go of me as he heads to the front room. "It was alright.." I say walking with father hoping he wont send me away. "You seem upset, did something happen?" He asks, taking a seat in one of the arm chairs. "I'm just worried for a friend.. That's all." I sigh sitting down on the couch. "Would you like to talk about it?" He asks his tone genuine. "Link seems to be struggling with something.. It looks like whatever it is is eating away at him."

"Did you find out what it was?"

"No.. I think I'll ask Impa or Aryll."

"Aryll?"
