Chapter. 9

(Soggy cat.)

I wake with Impa's legs laying on top of me, Paya sound asleep next to her. Link's arm lays across my stomach. I can hear August whining. "Ok.. Ok. I'll get you food." I say, groggily rubbing the sleep from my eyes. I slip out from under Impa and Link, stepping around them until I'm safe to walk freely. Grabbing August I take her to the kitchen. I put her food in a bowl and place it down on the ground, She eats happily. I sit down at a bar stool and spin around.

After a few minutes of trying to wake myself up Jim, Impa's Dad enters the room. "Morning." He says grabbing a Banana. "Morning." I answer still spinning around. "Well I'm off to work. Need anything before I go?" He asks with a smile. "No, I'm fine. Have a good day!"

"K bye." He waves leaving the room as I give him a smile. A minute later Purah runs in. "I'm late! I'm late! So late!" She says grabbing an apple. "It's Sunday you know." As I say "Sunday" she flips. "Oh!! Then I'm REALLY late!!!! Gotta run. Bye!" She screams, running to the doorway. "Bye!" I call after her. Her Mom comes in as she sprints out of the room. "What was that for?" She asks starting to heat up some water, I just shrug. "Are the others awake?" she asks quietly. "Nope just me."

"Ok. I can wake up Impa if you want."

"No, that's alright.." I smile, looking at the paintings that line the room. "Mk" She says pouring the water into a cup with a tea bag in it. "Ok well I'll be up stairs if you need me." She says walking out of the room as I nod.

After a while I go back to the TV room. I walk In to find Link awake, looking at something on his phone. "What are you looking at?" I ask sitting down on the ground next to him. "Nothing." He says quickly, pulling his phone away from me. "Oh really?" I smirk, grabbing the phone from him. "Hey!" He says in protest "When did you get this?!! Did Magda give it to you?!!" I gasp looking at the picture of us at the coffee shop. "Yeah." He chuckles, taking the phone from me. "Why do you have that??"

"Uh it's a picture of me so why wouldn't I have it?"

"You asked her for it didn't you!!" I gasp. "It's just a picture." He says, rolling his eyes. "If my Father saw that he would Kill me!" I say trying to grab the phone from him. He keeps it just out of my reach. "Get rid of it!"

"Nope!" He laughs As I try to grab it. I slip, falling on top of him."Sorry!" I say our faces inches apart, pushing off of his chest I get up. "Sorry." He says his face slightly red. "I-I-I slipped." I say getting up off of him. "It's... It's ok." He says sitting up and scratching the back of his head. Impa can't stop the laughter, And just bursts out laughing. I turn to glare at her. "You two are so cute!!!!! Just kiss already!!!" She laughs. "IMPA!! Keep your mouth shut!!" I say turning red. "Heheheh. Come on Paya, let's go." She says giving me a look that says 'you know what to do.' I glare at her as she leaves with Paya. I turn my head to look at Link who is looking at the ground, his face as red as a cherry. "I'm sorry. Impa can be.......... a lot. And doesn't know when to keep her mouth shut." I sigh as he looks up with just his eyes keeping his head down. "It's...." He stops. "Are you alright?" I ask gently. He shakes his head slowly. "What's wrong?"

"I.... Nothing. It.." He stops again, looking around. "Oh... Were you caught off guard....? Are you scared to talk to others?"

"I'm not scared... I just.."

"Just what? You can tell me anything." I say smiling. "I know... I'm not scared to talk to others. I just don't."

"Why?"

"With so many eyes on me... So many people rely on me... Our school relies on me.. I find it best to stay quiet and silently bear any burden..." He says breathing deeply, Like a weight was lifted off his shoulders. I smile, giving him a small hug. "You don't have to feel like that around me." I say gently as he hugs me back. "Thank you." He whispers. "So want some food?" I ask pulling away, knowing he wants to change the subject. He smiles. "Sure."
