No One's POV:
Chapa and Bose make their way down to Hip Hop Puree, and they see Mika and Miles at a table. They head their way.
Chapa: "Hey, you two."
Mika and Miles: "Wassup?"
Chapa and Bose sit down at the table.
Miles: "Well, what's new?"
Bose: "Nothing, my step-dad is still doing Vice Mayor stuff, and he's never asked me once to help him with anything."
Chapa: "That's not even surprising."
Bose: "I always tell myself that. *to the twins* What about you two?'
Miles: "Same stuff, different day. But, I'm glad SWAG is fixed. I was getting tired of regular school."
Chapa: "Same, I've been doing the same stuff over and over again, and it's boring, that I actually wish for something fun."
Mika: "Even I agree, and I normally don't get bored with the stuff I usually do."
Bose: "Good point, and btw, where's Ray?"
Miles: "He went to meet Credenza at her house, so my guess is he's gonna be there the whole day."
Chapa: "Makes sense."
Chapa's POV:
I'm looking at Mika right now, and I just can't stop. She always makes me feel so happy, even on my darkest days. She even looked after me when I sprained my ankle, which was the worst pain I'VE ever felt. Even when I felt like crying, she was there to hug and console me. I just don't know what I would do without her. Suddenly, I felt sleepy again, and just like that, I was out of it.
Bose: "Chapa, you okay?"
Miles: "She just fell asleep. She must be very tired."
Mika: "We should get her back to the Man's Nest. A table's not really a comfortable sleeping area."
Miles: "Very true. I'll get the car started."
Miles's POV:
Mika picked Chapa up as Bose and I held the doors open for them. Then, we headed towards my car as I opened up the back doors so that Mika and Chapa could get in. I had my buddy Bose riding shotgun as we pulled out of the parking lot. We headed back to the Man's Nest as Mika had her arm around Chapa while she was sleeping on her shoulder. Once we got through the Man's Nest doors, Mika carefully set Chapa down onto a bed and covered her with a blanket.
Me: "Well, Bose and I are gonna go see how Schwoz is doing with the security system."
Mika: "Hopefully, he'll be done soon."
Miles and Bose exit.
Mika's POV:
I've never seen Chapa sleep so peacefully. She looks so beautiful. I'm so glad I'm alone with her. I've never told anyone this, but I've had feelings about her for a while. There's just something about her that makes me feel so... happy. She's always been there for me, even when I was feeling really sick. She was there to make everything better. I've been wanting to admit my feelings for her, but I just don't know how. So many thoughts are in my mind right now, then suddenly, Chapa woke up looking like something scared her.
Chapa: *breathing heavily* "No! Please! Don't go!"
Me: "Chapa, Chapa, it's me. You're awake now."
I pulled Chapa into a hug as I felt her trembling a little bit. I rubbed her back and told her that she was just having a bad dream.
Chapa: "Oh, Mika, I'm so glad you're here. I had the worst nightmare ever."
Mika: "What happened?"
Chapa: "I was with someone, and it always ends the same way: with that same person dying. The worst thing is, I couldn't move to save them."
Mika: "Have you had this nightmare before?"
Chapa: "Every night for the past week, and it just keeps getting in the way of my sleeping."
Mika: "So that's why you fell asleep in class."
Chapa: "Yes, and it's just been so hard to tell someone about it."
Mika: "Well, I'm sure the reason you're having having this nightmare is because you're scared of losing this person, and you try everything to save them, but your mind gets in the way."
Chapa: "Wow, how did you know that?"
Mika: "Well, it's happened to me, too. Only it's been happening for two weeks and not one."
Chapa: "Have your nightmares been similar to mine?"
Mika: "Yeah, they have. They also end with the same person dying."
Chapa: "Was... was it me?"
Mika: "Uh... yeah, it was."
Chapa's POV:
I knew this was my chance to confess.
Me: "I have to tell you something, but promise me you won't be weirded out by it?"
Mika: "I promise."
Me: "Good. See, the reason I've been having these nightmares is because... I really like you. I've felt that way for a while, and I was a little scared to tell you because I didn't know how you'd feel about it."
Mika puts her hand on mine.
Mika: "I feel the same way about you, Chapa."
Me: "You do?"
Mika: "Yeah. I was a little scared to tell you about it, too."
Me: "Well, I'm glad we finally confessed."
Mika: "So now that we know, what should we do?"
Me: "You wanna be my girlfriend?"
Mika: *smiling* "I'd love that so much."
Mika pulls me into a kiss, and it was the best kiss I've ever had. I'm so glad that she and I are now a couple. I've been wanting this for a long time, but the wait is over, and I'm so happy. Mika's lips are so soft, and I just wanted this moment to last forever.
