A/N: This part of the story is as if the parents didn't know yet about their kids' secret identities, and also, Bose is still the only one Chapa has told about her and Mika being together.
Chapa's POV:
Ray gave us the day off today, which is surprising, considering it's not likely of him to do something like that all the time. The good thing about having today off is sleeping in. I usually sleep in until about 9 or 9:30, which I really need almost all of the time.
I usually sleep better when Mika is in my bed with me, and we would always cuddle each other, but she's been sick for a few days now, so I haven't been able to see her, which really makes me sad. On top of that, there's nothing ever good on TV (which isn't even that surprising).
So right now, I'm just lying on the couch, watching funny videos on my phone to try and cheer myself up, but it was barely working, my dad and my little sister were re-organizing the kitchen, and my mom was doing her 50 million things at once (as per usual), and then, out of nowhere, this happened.
Alejandra: "Everyone, gather in the living room! I have some news!"
Me: "You're finally done with doing your 50 million things at once?"
Alejandra: *scoffs* "No, silly girl."
I roll my eyes, I hate being called that.
Alejandro: "What's your news, honey?"
Alejandra: "Well, in the middle of my doing 50 million things at once, I finally got my dream job!"
Alejandro: "Interior designing?"
Alejandra: "The same."
Alejandro: "That's amazing! You'd be perfect for that!"
Alejandra: "Aww, thanks!"
Sage: "When do you start?"
Alejandra: "I start next month, which should give us enough time to pack."
Me: "Wait, what do you mean 'pack?'"
Alejandra: "Oh, shoot, I forgot to mention this, Chapa, but we're gonna have to move in order for me to start my new job."
Me: "Wait, where is it at?"
Alejandra: "It's actually in Florida."
Me: "FLORIDA?!"
Alejandro: "Yeah, it's gonna be great!"
Me: "Wait, you knew about this?"
Sage: "I did, too."
Me: "Seriously? Weren't any of you gonna tell me at all?"
Alejandra: "Sorry, honey. We wanted to say something, but we weren't sure how you would take it."
Me: "Well, obviously, I'm the only one not on board with this idea. We can't leave Swellview. I have so many memories here."
Alejandro: "Ah, don't worry, you'll forget all about them soon."
Me: "Will I, though?"
Alejandra: "Yeah, I mean, I remember nothing from when I was your age, mostly because it was never that important."
Me: "I can't believe this. You all wait god knows how long to drop a bomb on me like this, and you're saying that it's not a big deal?"
Alejandra: "Well, yeah."
Me: *sighs* "I can't take this. I'm out of here."
Sage: "Where are you going, sis?"
Chapa: "I'm going for a walk. Don't wait up for me."
I say as I slam the door.
Bose's POV:
I'm so glad Ray gave us the day off. I really needed the extra sleep. I'm a huge fan of sleeping (isn't everybody?). My mom and step-dad aren't here, but instead, they're out shopping for whatever crap they really want, and I can't hang out with Miles because Mika is sick, and he's helping take care of her, so right now, I'm in my room playing my electric guitar (bet you weren't expecting that), and suddenly, I hear a knock at the door. I put down my guitar to go see who it was. I open my door, and I see Chapa.
Chapa: "Hey, Bose. Is this a bad time?"
Me: "No, not at all. Come on in."
Chapa: "Thank you."
I shut the door as soon as Chapa comes in.
Chapa: "Are you the only one here right now?"
Me: "Yeah, my mom and step-dad are out shopping for whatever crap they decide to buy."
Chapa: *scoffs* "That's typical."
Me: "Yeah, it is. So, what brings you here?"
Chapa: "Well, something came up, and I just really need someone to talk to."
Me: "What's wrong?"
Chapa: "We should probably sit down for this."
Chapa and I both sit on the couch.
Chapa: "So, my mom got a job, and in order to actually start her job, she... wants the whole family to move."
Me: "Wait, you're actually moving away?"
Chapa: "I really don't want to move, but I can't do anything about it, considering I was the last person to ever be told about it."
I paused for a moment.
Me: "Where is the job at?"
Chapa: "It's in Florida."
Me: "FLORIDA?!"
Chapa: "Yeah, and I reacted the same way you did just now."
Me: "Dang, now I get why you came here. How are you gonna tell the others?"
Chapa: "That's the thing: I don't know how. For some reason, I'm not good at preparing myself for announcing something serious, like when I told you how I had feelings about Mika."
Me: "Speaking of Mika, she's gonna be the most upset when she finds out about this."
Chapa: "I know, and if I move, I won't be able to fight crime anymore, and it wouldn't really make sense for Miles to just teleport me back and forth."
Me: "Oof, you're right. We wouldn't be able to handle fighting crime without you."
Chapa: "Aww, really?"
Me: "Yeah, you're a really strong fighter. All Ray ever does is just brag to the bad guy about how handsome and indestructible he is."
Chapa: "Yeah, it's so annoying. It always makes me feel like I should be the leader."
Me: "Good luck trying to tell Ray that."
Chapa: "Pfft, yeah. So, anyway, is it alright if I stay here for a bit? I just need to clear my head a little bit."
Me: "That's totally alright with me. I always enjoy having people over, even though it hardly happens."
Chapa: "I see. Well, wanna check what's on TV?"
Me: "I already did that, there was nothing good, so I was in my room earlier playing my guitar."
Chapa: "You play guitar?"
Me: "Yeah, kinda hard to believe."
Chapa: "I guess we can go to your room, then."
Me: "Yeah, I got a good playlist for us to listen to. It's mostly rock, which is my favorite music."
Chapa: *gasps* "Mine, too!"
Me: "Nice! You'll definitely enjoy the music, then."
Chapa: "Yeah, I guess I will."
Chapa's POV:
I'm still thinking about how I'm gonna tell everyone else about my parents wanting us to move. I know it's gonna be hard to tell Mika, especially since she's my girlfriend. I really don't wanna end my relationship with her. I love her so much. I'll probably find a way to tell everyone by the time we go back to the Man's Nest tomorrow, but for now, I just wanna enjoy this moment in music.
