Chapa's POV:
Okay, so a lot has happened in the last month, and I'm not even sure where to begin. I guess I should start at the beginning of the month, of course. So, in the first week, Mika had been experiencing very bad headaches, like very brutal headaches. She described them as how the smallest movement on her face can cause excruciating pain. I first thought that she was just getting sick, but she said she didn't feel sick. Miles suggested that if they didn't go away by next week, we would take her to a doctor to get her checked out.
Sure enough, her headaches did not go away, and I was starting to get worried. So, during the upcoming weekend, me, Mika, Miles, and their parents all went to the hospital to see what was happening. I had called Bose earlier that day to explain what was happening, and told him to get here fast and bring Ray.
Right now, we're all sitting in a room waiting for the doctor. A few seconds later, the doctor comes in.
Doctor: "Hi, there. My name is Dr. Richardson, and you must be Mika."
Mika: "Yep, that's me."
Doctor: "Are the rest of you her family?"
Me: "I'm her girlfriend, but they are."
(Btw, at this point, the parents know about Chapa and Mika's relationship)
Angela: "I'm Mika's mom, Angela."
Herm: "I'm her father, Herm."
Miles: "And I'm her twin brother, Miles."
Doctor: "Wonderful. So Mika, what seems to be the trouble?"
Mika: "Well, for the past week or so, I've been experiencing excruciating headaches, like I can't even look a certain way without feeling the pain."
Doctor: "Oh, dear. That is not good. Have you been experiencing pain in other places?"
Mika: "No, just these headaches. I really want them to go away."
Doctor: "Well, don't worry, ma'am. We're gonna run a few tests, and we'll see what we're dealing with here. In the meantime, is there anything I can get for any of you?"
We all look around at each other.
Mika: "Nope, I think we're good."
Doctor: "Alright, then. Mika, why don't you come with me, and we'll take a closer look at the problem?"
Mika's POV:
I smile nervously as I slowly get up from the bed I was in. Before I leave, Chapa grabs my hand.
Chapa: "You'll do good."
Me: "I know, I just...can't imagine what could be causing these headaches."
Chapa: "Well, whatever it is, I hope it can be fixed."
Me: "Me, too."
Chapa and I pull each other into a hug before I head out of the room with the doctor.
Chapa's POV:
After Mika and the doctor leave, Bose and Ray show up.
Bose: "Hey, we got here as fast as possible. How's everything going?"
Miles: "Mika just went with the doctor to see what's going on."
Ray: "Well, I hope it's nothing too serious. I can't stand the thought of losing one of my students."
Herm: "Oh, yeah. I forgot you were the headmaster of S.W.A.G."
Angela: "Didn't it get infested?"
Bose: "Yeah, it was caused by those fire- termite whatevers, I don't even really know anymore at this point."
Chapa: "Yeah, and it's not even that important anymore. All that matters is the doctor is taking care of Mika."
Miles: "True dat."
Mika's POV:
I'm currently in an MRI room about to be directly put under one as the doctor is on the outside.
Doctor: "Alright, Mika, just keep still and this won't take long."
Me: "Thanks, doc. I don't care what it takes, just do everything you can."
The sound of the MRI doing the scan made me a little nervous, so I just closed my eyes and waited for it all to be over. After a few seconds, the sound stopped. The doctor then looked over at the results, and it sounded like he just left, leaving the assistant doctor to come in and take me to another hospital room. Now, I was more worried.
