Chapa's POV:

I spent the whole rest of the day with my friends and my girlfriend. There was still no telling when my parents would be back, but I still didn't really care. I just wanted to make the most out of this day. Pretty soon, we headed back to my house.

Me: "That was fun."

Mika: "Yeah, Florida really does have a lot to see."

Bose: "A lot at the gift shop, too. I bought some really cool stuff."

Miles: "You nearly bought out the whole store."

Bose: "I know, right?"

Ray: "Well, what should we do next?"

I look out the window, and I see that my parents have finally returned.

Me: "Dang it, my parents and my sister are home."

Miles: "Shoot, we should probably go."

Mika: "Yeah, if they see us, they'll know something's up."

Bose: "Let's get out of here."

Me: "I'll see you all soon, I guess."

All: "Bye, Chapa!"

Miles teleports them out, and I went to sit on the couch as if nothing had happened. My parents walk through the door.

Me: "There you are, where have you all been? It's almost 7:30."

Alejandra: "Sorry, dear. Turns out my new job doesn't end until 7."

Alejandro: "Then, she picked me up from my job, and we went to get your sister from a friend's house."

Me: "Wait, you also got a job?"

Alejandro: "Yep, I work at a grocery store now, as a stocker. It's actually not hard."

Me: "Well, I was actually starting to worry about when you were all coming back."

Alejandra: "Aww, you don't have to worry about us. We're just glad you're still safe."

Me: *smiles slightly* "Well, that's sweet."

Alejandro: "Aww, family hug, everyone."

I don't normally do family hugs, but I was willing to make an exception this time. A few minutes later, I was up in my room on a video call with Mika.

Mika: "Have you told your parents about not liking it there yet?"

Me: "To be honest, I don't exactly know how to just come out and say it. I've never been able to bring myself to talk about certain things with them. I still haven't been able to tell them about our relationship."

Mika: "That's tough, but I get it. I haven't told my parents or Miles yet."

Me: "I really wanna tell them, but I just know they won't go for it. They're never really that supportive."

Mika: "Well, here's an idea: I could try to talk to my parents about letting you stay with us."

Me: "You think it'll work?"

Mika: "I really hope so, it's hard not being in the same room as you."

Me: "Aww, you got me blushing."

Mika: *giggles* "That means you really love me."

Me: *smiles sweetly* "I doooooo."

Mika: "I'll go see if I can talk to my parents. I sure hope it works."

Me: "Alright, see ya soon, my love."

Mika: "See you soon, too, baby."

Me: *smiles* "Aww."

I smile as we both click off the video call. I really hope her idea works. It's not the same here without her, or without any of my friends. I lie down in my bed and look up at the ceiling, just enjoying this moment. I think about all the good times I've had in Swellview, and I hope to make more. After a few minutes, Mika called back. I was kinda nervous for this one.

Me: "Well?"

Mika: *smiles* "They said 'yes!'"

Me: "Awesome! Wait, what about Miles?"

Mika: "He was on board with the idea, too!"

Me: "That's also awesome!"

Mika: "So, you think you'll be able to tell your parents soon?"

Me: "I sure hope so, but I gotta try to prepare myself for when I do."

Mika: "Well, good luck, and I hope they're on board with it, too."

Me: "Me, too. Alright, I'll see ya soon. Love you."

Mika: "Love you, too."

We both click off video call again. I was really nervous this time, but I have to do it.
