chapter 19. stuck and set up

no one's Pov:

"Come on, Addie, how's this going to work? They'll catch on when they realize we're not showing up," Trevor skeptically remarks as they ride in the cab on their way to dinner.
Addie simply smirks at her boyfriend, exuding confidence in her carefully orchestrated scheme. "Never doubt me, babe. I've got it all figured out. Carson's in on it too; he'll cover for us, and just like that, they'll be none the wiser," Addie confidently declares, her smirk unwavering as she lays out her plan to Trevor, who can only stare at her in disbelief.
Amid Trevor's astonishment, he can't help but question, "How on earth did you convince Carson to join in?" Addie, relishing in her successful manipulation, responds with a mischievous glint in her eyes, "It wasn't a walk in the park at first. Carson was hesitant until he learned it involved Macie and Oliver. Once he knew the stakes, he was all in, especially after I sweetened the deal with a free dinner," she explains, showcasing her knack for persuasion.
As Trevor grins at his girlfriend's strategic prowess, he can't help but admire her ability to orchestrate plans and sway others to her advantage, solidifying her status as a mastermind in their shared escapades.

With a heavy sigh, Trevor expresses his hopes for Addie's plan to succeed, recognizing the genuine connection between Macie and Oliver. As Addie silently nods in agreement, a palpable silence envelops them, laden with unspoken anticipation and uncertainty.

Olivers Pov:

it's been a couple of weeks since the incident with the fans going after Macie, but I managed by posting on all of my platforms telling people to respect her because she didn't do anything wrong.

surprisingly most fans have changed their minds about Macie after her performance sure there is hate but it's mostly behind the screen vrs attacking her like they did at the airport and of course at the meet and greet of course. they started to accept her which I was surprised but very grateful for because she's an amazing person who has been through enough on her own but now, she has fans of her own!!! which I'm very happy to hear she's been a little nervous since this is the first that she's had fans of her own and well she's been a little over the moon about it but is still shy when people walk up to her for her picture or an autograph. she has bodyguards still though which I'm happy about because after what happened she needs to be protected when she goes out, I don't want her hurt.

she wasn't sure about it but has become great friends with the bodyguards and they help her with her taking pictures of whatever that Carson and management needs from her. me on the other hand I have been locked away with recording some more music since I was given a break due to a storm that was arriving, so I get three weeks of a break and then after that new tour dates will resume my next stop, I think is England which I'm very happy about of course.
but for now, I have to work but I miss Macie she's been busy lately being to busy despite me and everyone else having a break she's been working on helping whoever with the album cover and some other things, but she will be with me on break real soon.

" Alright one more time Oliver and you can take a break for the day" the person recording my songs says and I nod my head because I really could use a break after recording like ten songs or was it more? I don't remember because I feel like my brain fried right now. I go over the song once more before I get a thumbs up from him and I step out of the recording both and soon enough Carson bursts into the room with this weird look on his face a bright smile plastered on his face. " what's going on Carson?" I ask as I take a sip of my water and sit on the couch waiting for him to reply. " You are going to love this one I managed to along with Macie get you on the cover of rising stars!!!!" he screams throwing the magazine towards me and well there I am on the cover of the magazine, and I never thought I'd ever get on the cover of rising stars!!!!
