Part-3

In the middle of a crossroads, both Captain Maya and Shiva emerged.

"You should have told me in advance," Shiva said falteringly, "at least I've changed."

Maya did not pay attention to Shiva's words and stated, while moving towards the roadside, "Follow me."

"Isn't this our city's busiest crossing? The city's heart—the city square road," Shiva, surprised, asked as they both moved to the side of the road.

Shiva was surprised to see that there were no automobiles on the road today.
The roadside skyscrapers were all shut down as well.
Early in the morning, the sun had just begun to rise.
This location was frequently crowded at this time in the morning.

"You really don't know. I'm shocked," Maya said in disbelief.

"Hello Riya," when Shiva saw a female at the corner of the road and said, "I wasn't expecting to see you here."

A teen girl dressed in a blue bodycon dress was awaiting them.

"Welcome, Shiva," Riya replied, giving Shiva a bear hug, and smiling at him. "I'm glad to see you in a nightdress."

"It feels strange, like everyone has left the city and we are the only three left."
When Shiva saw the deserted city, he asked, "Why am I here in my pajamas, Captain?"

Ignoring Shiva, Maya questioned Riya, "When they left the scene."

"Who?" Shiva asked them both, surprised.

"Paranormal, you don't know." Riya pushed Shiva and turned to face Maya, jokingly saying, "He doesn't know."

"Riya, answer."
There was seriousness in Maya's face.

"Sorry, two hours ago, we received this data," Riya said, holding a disk. "100% accurate."

"I still have no idea why I'm at this place. I'm sure that something big happened while I was sleeping. But why am I here with the city captain and a techie?"
Infuriated, Shiva stated, "I'm leaving."

Shiva walked to the centre of the road crossing, hoping to see someone.

"Sorry, but nobody is coming to pick you up. The town is scared. There is nobody outside."
After regaining control of herself, Maya said, "Hey, I'm being late."

Riya was setting up her equipment.

"Why?" Shiva returned to the group.

"I'm not sure why they believe hiring a private detective in this case is a wise move. Mr. Shiva, you. Riya, are you done yet?"

"Yes, ma'am."

Their surroundings started to change after Riya clicked a button on a console.
The substance in front of them began to change pixel by pixel, becoming a dome-like structure.

When the projection was finished, Riya stated, "We are at precisely 3 a.m. today."

CRIME SCENE: KEEP THIS AREA CLEAR: Yellow caution tapes were all over the place. Nothing was visible inside the dome.

"After you," Maya said to Shiva.

Shiva entered the dome in disbelief.
Maya and Riya followed him.

Inside, there was a horrific scene. A man's and a woman's bodies were lying lifeless on the ground.
Their heads had been blown off.
The ground was covered in tiny pixels from their heads.

"It's terrific. Can we also be killed as well?" Riya asked.

Shiva realized why he had been summoned. Shiva ignored Riya's words and asked, "Details."
