"This is your fault."

Peter rolled his eyes, "Please, do inform me Keef, on how the hell this is my fault?" He said, raising his arms where they were both shackled together and jingling the chains wrapped around their hands.

"Well Kaine, If you didn't antagonize the trooper, we wouldn't be here right now." He whispered harshly as they were both walked down a hallway towards the court room where they would face their punishment.

It's been a month since the two of them had fled with their credits and since then, they've been hiding out on a planet called Niamos, which was basically one big giant beach planet.

Originally they had made a pit stop back on Ferrix to try and convince Cassian's mother to join them but she said she wanted to stay and fight the Empire, having enough of their bullshit.

Cassian didn't understand her point of view, not yet at least but Peter did, he knew where she was coming from.

Hell every time he sees one of those bucket heads he too just wants to fight them till his hands turn black and blue.

But after that failed journey back, they had arrived on Niamos and rented out a small apartment for the two of them, where they have been sharing the space together as they hid out from the Empire, hoping no one would track them down.

The two had even hid away all of their belongings, not wanting to risk someone noticing their attire including Peter's fancy tech.

They had bought a couple rectangular boxes and placed their respective stuff in one of each. Then after that, they placed them on top of the shower overhang where there was a little cubby that could just fit the boxes inside.

It wasn't an easy place to get to either, you either had to be tall enough or stand on a chair so it was the perfect hiding spot for all of their credits, clothes and weapons.

It's not like they needed leather jackets on a beach planet anyways.

The two partners had also changed their name, not wanting the rebels to track them down with the other fake names that were given to them.

Cassian chose a pretty stupid name in the vigilante's opinion but the man wouldn't hear any of it from the teen.

Cass had chosen the name Keef Girgo while Peter had chosen a more normal name, Kaine Fitzpatrick in honor of his mother.

After they first settled down though, they got into a routine of sorts. They'd wake up, make breakfast together and eat before heading out to the beach to relax. They would grab a small bite for lunch on their way back to the apartment and when they got back, they would sit down and talk.

Usually, Cassian helped him learn other languages while at night, Karen would help him learn basic, since it was the same as English but the writing was different.

He was a fast learner after all and he didn't really want to go to Cassian for that because he didn't know what to tell him about how he knew how to speak Basic, yet hadn't a clue on how to start writing it.

But sometimes after lunch, they would just sit down and play a game of sabacc while chatting. During one of these sessions pretty early on within the first week, Cassian had asked Peter to tell him the truth about his...abilities so to speak.

He had saw the same signs as the others while on Aldhani, he knew something was up so Peter, deciding to take a risk told him about his powers, but still lied about how he came to be.

He found it a little hard to believe that Cassian wouldn't call him a crazy nut job if he did tell him he was from another universe.

But surprisingly after that conversation, Cassian was really understanding and even asked if he could see some of his abilities.
