Battle of the Texas Bay

It's November 6th and you're a farmer on the newly acquired Texas land the army took from native elves, and suddenly you see a bunch of wooden warships from the viking Era emerged from the horizon.

While this wasn't on the bingo card of Texas' expectations of this world, it certainly happened, at first the Texas government initially thought of this as a good thing and now it could confirm that other lands exist and can make contact with the natives and explain what happend on the island.

But fun fact...

No.

You see, elves have a code of honor amongst its naval branch.

When in doubt, explode the farmers.

What soon followed was the elves raining fire on the buildings of farmers who had cows and chickens to disrupt food supply lines, however since the abundance of newly replenished resources, it also included the ingredients to make steel.

As a result, steel walls were extreme cheap and farmers made Barns out of steel with metal support beams. As a result the arrows launched by the elf ships were doing next to nothing.

When the prime Minister of Texas Defense got a security alert that there's some conflict at the bay of Texas, the war of the Texas Bay began.

The 15 ships carrying over 25 elves went straight into the coast and essentially simulated a Normandy landing just like in ww2. However they underestimated Texas civilians as they sustained moderate casualties at the hands of Texan Civilians carrying various guns such as the Glock 22, M1897 Trench Guns and the AR15.

These combination of weapons forced the elf invaders to hold out on the coast and set up a temporary camp. When nightfall came around the Elves thought it would be a good idea to invade in the night.

Under the leadership of Crus Uless, the battle of nightfall began.

In disappointing disaster.

The Texas civilians saw the camps from the beaches they were next to and quickly thought of a plan. When the military arrived they knew using tank shells would be wastful since the enemy is not even to the musket yet.

Instead they made up a strategy that utilized a primitive form of grenade, the nail bomb.

The nail bomb is a improv mine but is really effective, as a result elves didn't know is this technology until they started to get killed by it left and right. The elf general soon saw the destruction the Texas civilians alone are capable of and was soon terrified of the army's wrath.

Despite all these quick developments, the elves had to carry on the invasion. Entering the next day on November 7th, a elven ship carrying 40 more men and supp.ies arrived, the elves wished to at least do some destruction to the Texan infrastructure but the steel used was seemingly impenetrable. They soon imported arrows of expensive black powder to made the arrow explode, however they were too expensive and complicated to mass produce, so they suck with fire arrows.

The Texas military soon moved in the coastal areas and soon laid seige to the makeshift elf army base, the seige itself lasted only for 4 hours because the elves can't take the mass amounts of grenades thrown into the camp which destroyed housing and food buildings.

General Crus ordered his men to surrender to the human powerhouse that is the Texas military, and soon met with the General leading the Texas 4th armored division.

The general in question was General Copper E Grabel and met with the Elven General in the middle of the beach to sign the Coastal Treaty. In which the Texas said to give them a map of the known world and also to agree that elven ships will be banned from Texas waters until further notice.

General Crus agreed to these terms and sailed off with his men, who were now just 144 standing.

So what's the conclusion here? Well when a general takes heavy losses against a civilian milita, they would get humiliated, and that's what happened to Crus when the Elven press reported on it.

General Crus was given the name Crus the Incompetent. For Texas, they looted what was left of the base the elves made and found arrows and bows, which was soon given to a museum and put it on display.

For the elven navy they suffered unnesscary casualties, also known as just over 300 men with the rest retrated back to the mainland. And the Texans lossing only 6 military casualties and 8 civilians. Essentially a whole load of elves died for nothing once again and soon elven public opinion was extremely anxious that these attacks would continue on this new powerhouse human 'kingdom' and they would invade all of the Elven continent.

Something that the Texans had little interests in, for now.
