After rushing out on Cordelia, Reese felt bad but it had to be done. Those women could've seen her before and questioned why she was there. Plus, that's a lot of people to take on when it's just her. Not to mention they were probably all witches like Cordelia so it would've been an impossible fight.

It was just in her best interest to leave but it did make her feel less guilt knowing Cordelia could contact her. Reese didn't know if the woman ever would but at least she's given her the option. Since it was dark, Reese held her closed umbrella tightly and just ran to the hotel. No one would question a breeze at this time, they'd probably be thankful if anything.

She searched to make sure there was no one in sight as she stopped a block from the building. She calmly walked the rest of the way and went up to her room with ease. The stairs are much faster given her pace and no one is usually in the stairwell given there is an elevator. She slipped into her room quietly and decided to shower before getting in bed.

Meanwhile...

Cordelia stared at the paper as she contemplated whether to call or not. She'd been thinking about it since the women abruptly left. She'd thought about it during her trip up the stairs. While she showered, even while she got dressed for bed. Her phone in hand as she just stared at the paper, having already dialed it in.

Her finger hovering cautiously over the green button just waiting to be pressed. She bit her lip nervously before putting a soundproof spell over her room and locking her door. Without any further thinking, she presses the call button equally hoping for her to answer or send her to voicemail.

Hello?

Reese?

Ahh Cordelia

Yeah... you left your number

I see you found it...

There was an awkward silence between the two, each trying to hold out seeing who would break it.

You don't have to be so awkward you know? We spent all afternoon talking

Sorry I'm just still... confused as to why you left and so quickly as well

I have my reasons but it has nothing to do with you. I quite enjoyed our time together

So it was nothing I did? O-or said?

No, you were absolutely perfect

Haha, perfect...

I'm serious, you're a keeper witchy

Witchy huh?

Yep that's what I'll call you from now on, it suits you well I think

Well what shall I call you then?

Alicia hehe

Very funny joker

I like the joker, maybe I should call you Harley

Like Harley Quinn?

Yeah...

Aren't they like... together?

Sure are puddin

And yet another bout of silence as Cordelia struggled to discern if Reese was joking or not. She did find her very attractive and alluring, there was just something about her. However she reminded herself they are complete strangers. But doesn't it always start like that?
