Reese's pov
With the speed I'm running, I make it to Victoria's within 5 minutes but I stand at a distance to give myself time to think. The newborns shouldn't be able to smell me from this distance and I make sure to shield myself behind a tree for extra protection from the wind. I scope out the warehouse to see how big it is but there's no way I can tell just how many turns and blind corners there are. With just me here, I'm honestly worried about how dangerous this is. The risk of going in blind will most likely not go well for me.

Hopefully she has mercy, at least for a split second, so I can make my escape or throw the first attack to weaken her. With uncertainty masked by overconfidence; I stride into the building, in search of the woman I haven't seen in decades. It's dark as hell in here and even the air feels damp. The water dripping from the ceilings due to the melted snow being the only sound echoing through the—seemingly—uninhabited building. I make my footsteps light but it's no use really, since they'll smell me before they see me. Just when I'm about to turn a corner, someone grabs me.

I just let them, I know they'll take me directly to her. After all, they don't know what they're doing and that I could be and practically am a threat. A few seconds later I'm thrown onto the ground, rather harshly, making me grunt and struggle to keep my composure. "Thanks for the warm welcome guys" I mumble sarcastically as I push myself to my feet. They immediately come back over to push me back down but are stopped by the sound of her voice.

"Enough. I can handle it from here" she says and they sulk away into the shadows from whence they came. "Long time no see, Raven" she says as she struts up to me, I brush the dirt off myself. Grimacing as I feel all the spots on my jeans that are wet from the anything but clear water on the floor. "I see you've... updated" I say gesturing to her change of location, "you know... gotta keep up with the times" she replies.

"I'm assuming there's a reason you came all this way, sweetie pie" she says mocking me, "don't call me that" I say. She pouts as she comes to a stop right in front of me, she looks me up and down before taking my chin in her hand surprisingly gently. "Sorry, Raven. It's been a long time since I've seen you... why is that?" she asks 'innocently' as she smiles at me. "That's irrelevant. I need information and you have it" I say, she scoffs and pushes me away, walking back to her makeshift throne. "What makes you think I'll do anything for you, after you left me high and dry? Well... high and wet but you get the picture" she says once seated.

"You know why I had to do that. I'm not going over this with you again" I say sternly, she looks off to the side and sighs. She tilts her head down to the dagger tucked neatly between a crack in the chair and looks to me through her lashes. "Let's see just how convincing you can be" she chuckles...

Cordelia's pov
I pace back and forth in the room, waiting for her to get back. At some point I realize it's useless to sit here by myself. I quietly make my way down the stairs and reach the bottom as some of them are in the middle of a conversation. "I know this is weird coming from me—but I really hope she's ok. We all know how manipulative that bitch is and I know Reese has changed since then... but if she somehow falls back in the pattern again? I don't know if we can save her" I hear Emmet say.

Edward opens his mouth to protest I assume but I see his nose twitch right before his head snaps in my direction. I smile shyly and leave my place behind the wall to sit at the table with them. "How much of that did you hear?" Rose asks, "enough. I'm really worried about her" I admit nervously. "She'll be fine. That one's a fighter if I ever saw one" Edward says, "yeah she's tough. I believe in her" Rose says rubbing my hand. "I'm glad we're all having a Kumbaya, but we do need to think about the possibility that this doesn't go well. There is a very likely chance that something goes wrong, especially because she went alone" Emmet voices.

"Could you stop being so negative for once?" Alice chimes in as she walks into the kitchen, "I"m not being negative, I'm being realistic. The power that woman holds over people is ridiculous, and the fact that she dated her doesn't make it any better" he points out. She dated her? I guess my confused face set everyone's radar off that I, in fact, didn't know that little piece of the story. "Excuse me" I say standing up, "now you've done it, idiot" Edward says smacking him on the back of the head; directly followed by Rose's quick hand. I turn away from them and make my way back up the stairs.

Why didn't she tell me? Is that how she's going to convince her? If she's as bad as they're saying, she needs a miracle and thats about the only- My thoughts are halted as I feel a hand on my shoulder. I turn around to see Alice smiling at me sympathetically as I make it to the bedroom door. I walk in and she sits next to me on the bed. "Don't worry about what he said. If we had any doubts about that, we wouldn't have let her go; especially alone. We all really like you and besides, she cares about you. She wouldn't do anything to risk losing you" she assures me and I nod.

"I just don't understand why she didn't tell me" I sigh, "well you'll have to ask her that, I'm afraid" she says with a look telling me she wishes she knew. I nod again and ask her if I can be left alone. I know it's not the best for my racing thoughts but I can't handle being around anyone at the moment. I lay there for a while, just thinking about everything and nothing. How I let myself fall so deep in love with this woman I know basically nothing about. I suppose that's how it is sometimes but I know she's a good person. I didn't fall for her without reason.

A knock on the door interrupts my thoughts once again and I mumble a soft 'come in' and look at the door to see Esme come in. I smile softly at her and sit up to greet her, she waves her hand dismissively and sits on the end of the bed. "I'm not going to bother you too much because I know the feeling. Just know that Reese really loves you. She may be a bit... evasive at times and even a little dumb if you're asking me" she chuckles causing me to giggle. "Seriously though, I've never seen her light up like that with anyone else" she says rubbing my leg.

"And if you're still worried. Rest assured that if she came back here and has done something stupid, we'll know. She knows how much we despise... her... and we love Reese don't get me wrong, but if we found out she EVER did something like that again? Carlisle and I had spoken to her and let her know there'd be serious consequences because we struggled to recover the first time" she says painfully. I rest my hand on top of hers and smile sadly.

"Anyways, dear. We're all on your side, ok? You have nothing to worry about. If you need anything at all, our room is right down the hall at the end. I'll kick Carlisle out so we can have a girl talk" she smiles widely, I smile back and nod in agreement. She pats my leg and winks at me on her way out, it eases my nerves a bit, I can't lie. I just hope she makes it back safe.
