You belong to me

A wave of nausea swept over me as the reality set in of what my life was going to be from here on out. The wife and prisoner of William Mahoney. Nausea hit again and this time I could feel the bile making it's way up my throat.

I pressed a hand over my mouth as I ran for my small sink next to the stairs, flinging my head into it as I released my guts. The bile was bitter and burned my throat. I cried as my body heaved over and over again, remembering how he had assaulted me. First I had lost my mom, then my dignity and now, my innocence. I sobbed as I sunk down to the floor.

I closed my eyes and thought about Mason. Would he keep his promise? Would I ever see him again?

My thoughts were interrupted as the basement door opened. I sat up and opened my eyes as William came down the stairs. I slid back as far against the wall as I could, hugging my knees to my chest again, burying my face.

When he didn't say anything I picked my head up to see what he was doing.

He was standing by the only window I had.

I watched as he nailed it shut.

"I don't like to share my things. Don't worry, we'll make sure Mason knows that." He said, kneeling down in front of me.

I flinched as he brushed a strand of hair out of my face.

"I like this whole scared of me thing you're doing? It's really turning me on." He said leaning in so close I could feel his breath on my cheek.

I squeezed my eyes closed as he spoke.

"You know Lily, I'm not going to make you stay in this basement." He said.

I opened my eyes and looked at him.

"I thought that might get your attention." He said smiling.

"Now that you know the truth, there's no reason for you to stay down here anymore. I'm sure you'll find my room better accommodating for your needs." He said, running a hand up my thigh.

"You don't know anything about my needs!" I said gritting my teeth.

"You're right." He shrugged, lighting a cigarette.

"It is more about what I want anyway, and what I want is you in my room every night." He said in a hushed tone as he ran a hand over my thigh.

"You're disgusting!" I said, my voice trembling.

William grabbed a fistful of my hair and pulled it back, raising my face to his.

I whimpered.

"I had hoped you would be civil about this." He said, taking a puff of the cigarette and blowing it into my face.

I coughed as the smoke filled my lungs.

"From now on things are going to be very different. You are going to eat, sleep and breathe with me. You are my wife in practice and you will obey me Lily, in every way that a wife is required to obey her husband. And if I ever find you with Mason again, I swear to God I'll kill him." He said coldly.

"You make me sick!" I whispered.

William raised a hand high in the air and slammed it down hard across my cheekbone.

"Lesson number one, you mind what you say to me." He said.

Tears filled my eyes as I realized there was nothing I could do. My fate had been sealed the moment they laid eyes on me. I had no choice but to be his puppet, another one of his possessions to flaunt around.

"Lesson number two. You will tell Mason that you don't want to see him anymore."

"How am I supposed to do that? You just said you would kill him if I see him again." I asked.
