Will wanted to whistle in admiration. Under normal circumstances this would without a doubt be an offer he honestly could not refuse. Accepting this offer would mean going from an ordinary independent Lord of a recently promoted Lower World to being the owner of an already developed one. If he received such a reward, conquering Earth would be easy.
With that he would have two worlds under his belt. He could also petition the Veritas to assist him with Eridium's invasion. They would be able to shift the balance in Will's favor. Because even among the Middle Worlds there were vast differences in stature.
Take Remus homeworld Lycus for example. Not even a hundred Eridiums could stand up to Lycus' might. Because Eridium was at the bottom of the tier. Only capable of fighting Lower Worlds. While Lycus was a powerhouse that had conquered multiple Middle Worlds and was on the verge of becoming a High World.
But these were not normal circumstances. Will did not need to ask Modus to know that he could not casually offer his undying loyalty to others. He also had no idea what he would be ordered to do by the Veritas if he agreed.
Many people wondered just what Indomitable Moon had seen in Peerless to warrant such a reward. But no one in the crowd believed he would refuse. At best they assumed he would stall for time to consult his teacher. Any person who could teach an independent male Lord the Frozen Asgard Arts to such a degree would not be a simpleton.
But Will's action surprised everyone. He simply charred up his mana. Actions often spoke louder than words. The crowd was momentarily stunned, but soon erupted into a barrage of gasps and exclamations.
Will didn't simply refuse. He completely ignored the Prince. He didn't even bother to speak.
"Dude, not even a gesture to explain anything. He is either a prodigious powerhouse or a suicidal maniac."
"Some people have balls. It's absolutely insane."
"He is looking for new ways to spell death."
Despite the fact that the observers were mostly powerhouses, few would dare slight the Crown Prince of Lycus. Yet a Level 99 Independent Lord had done just that. This was an incredible loss of face.
"Good, good, very good." the handsome prince pulled back his medium length hair and stared daggers at Will. He grinned as he spoke but he seemed anything but pleased.
Killing intent billowed like lava from a volcano as World Energy in the coliseum entered a momentary frenzy.
Chaotic winds kicked up a storm as the coliseum quickly turned into a maelstrom of chaotic air currents.
"You won't even give me face by speaking. Very well then. In return, I won't give you face by letting you live." said the young prince arrogantly. His long canines became a bit more pronounced all of a sudden, while the muscle mass in his body expanded.
His skeletal structure changed a bit, with his upper body gaining more muscle mass than his lower body. His figure hunched over slightly, but not in an ugly way. In fact, it only made his large figure more domineering as he stretched his clothing to the limit.
His biceps were now as thick as his thighs previously were. His nails changed and became more like a wolverine's claws. But their length was conversely short, but they made up for in sharpness and proper shape.
'If they sink into flesh, they won't come out empty handed.'
Will could not help but feel chills as he watched the enemy's transformation.
'Sharp claws, long fangs, a muscular body designed for explosive power, a ridiculous amount of killing intent, stormy winds and...'
Will looked at the air above the now large Indomitable Moon. Most people saw nothing, but those with powerful senses and affinity with higher senses saw it.
It was a phantom of a beast. It was so ethereal it was almost invisible. It was as opaque as possible, twittering on the verge of existence and none existence. Yet it radiated an aura of bloodlust and death that could stifle the weak.
'So this is the true source of all this killing intent. A Bloodline Phantom.'
Bloodline abilities originated from super powered beings of all kinds. From beasts such as the one in front of Will to plants to even unique spiritual objects. The signs all pointed to a super powered being they were all familiar with.
"The Storm Wolf Tyrant Remus."
Within the overwhelming aura the phantom released was an energy signature that made Will feel nostalgic. He hadn't experienced this feeling for five years.
'Just like I suspected, he is just like the storm wolves.'
The storm wolves were Will's first difficult trial and had properly started him on the path of a warrior. Will had underestimated the beasts, and had nearly died at their hands multiple times. Were it not for coincidences and meticulous planning, Will would have been overwhelmed.
'The King forced me to use my head.'
Thanks to his encounter with the wolves, Will's martial way formed. He had no teacher and could only count on abstruse knowledge within his mind. So the wolves were somewhat of a teacher.
'They forced me to adapt to fighting against mobs and agility types.'
This brief reminiscence only lasted a moment before Will turned his attention to the matter at hand.
Because what was in front of him was a representation of the ancestor to all storm wolves. Remus the Unrelenting Hunter. A powerful wolf deity that many a being feared. Even Hercules' True form had to treat Remus with respect. Many bloodlines have spawned from the wolf, but one stood out in particular.
It is an odd bloodline because it awakened only one ability despite its high tier. In return, this ability was almost unstoppable on the same level if initiated. Its name had spread far and wide, as one of the most feared bloodline abilities in the mortal world.
