Wolf's Kissed

Part 10.

Fenrir's Pov. 

Seeing Kattegat come into view I close my eyes for a second while rubbing my shoulder, should I have let her stitch me? probably. Did I? No. 

"Kattegat." Someone says as we continue to move closer and closer to the dock while I have to hold back my scoff. We get all these riches only for probably the Earl to take them from us, Ragnar me and Floki paid for the boat it should go to us and our crew not that lazy stupid idiot. 

As we dock the chip many cheering and clapping people walk over while I mostly ignore it as I lift the wolves off the boat before getting off myself. 

Walking trough Kattegat with Ragnar besides me I have to stop my eyes from rolling as I see the Earl walk over to us with his guards. 

"Ragnar Lothbrok, Fenrir Wolf's Kissed, my friends,  how was your voyage? Successful I hope, for all our sakes." He asks us as the people quiet down and I have to stop my eyes from rolling. Friends? He does not see us as friends.

"The Saxons attacked us when we returned to the boat, in great force, " Ragnar speaks before he shouts" But we defeated them!" He says making the people cheer while I tilt my head as I look at the Earl this is not going to end well.

"You are the man that people say you are... A great adventurer... And I am happy to salute your achievements and to share in the profit of your raid. But I don't see my friend, Knut, where... where is he?" He asks as he looks around and see here we go. 

"He is dead." I simply say making him look at me. "Dead? did he die in battle?" He asks and I shake my head. "No he did not. " I state before the Earl speaks once again. "Then how did he die?" 

"I killed him, when I caught him trying to rape my brothers wife." I simply say before Ragnar could speak. "I find it too convenient that you would make an excuse to kill my friend and my agent on yours and your brother's voyage. What did you think that you would gain by getting rid of him?" The Earl says making me raise my brow. 

"You tell me what would I gain from killing a man who was trying to rape a woman? Absolutely nothing." I state  with a shake of my head. "I don't believe you. Arrest him!" He orders before walking away while hands are being wrapped around me from more than one side before loud snarls are being heard as the wolves move over. 

"If you wish to keep your beasts order them away." Svein says with fear in his eyes as he looks at the snarling Skoll in front of him. "Go home, and Floki thank you but put your knife away." I say to the wolves who run away before looking over my shoulder to see Floki holding his dagger against once's throat. 

"Take him away." Svein says as I'm being dragged away while I release a scoff. I saved Lagertha but now I may have given Earl Haraldson everything he needs to kill me. He's been wanting to do that for many years since he believes I'm just like Fenrir son Of Loki, to cause choas and death.

Having the chains around my wrists I walk into the hall while some people call me a murderer while others yell for me to be set free, we will see if I can talk my way out of this one.

Reaching the front I look at Earl Haraldson and his wife before he begins to speak. 

"We are all aware of the sacred nature of our duty here. You stand before us accused of the willful murder of Knut, my brother. Knut, as some of you may know, was the bastard son of my father. But I loved him... Like a brother. I asked Knut to... To go with Ragnar Lothbrok to England, where they raided a town and brought back many spoils. And while they were raiding this town, Fenrir Wolf's Kissed  took it upon himself to cold-bloodedly kill my brother. It's easy to imagine why a man like this would do such a thing." He starts before pointing at me.
