Wolf's Kissed

Part 54.

Fenrir's Pov.

Some Days Later. 

Seeing Lagertha walk over as I'm putting some supplies on the ship she soon gives me a sad look making a frown appear on my face. "Have you heard?" She asks and I put the small crate down before getting off the ship.  The look on her face tells me something must have happened.

"Have I heard what?" 

"Athelstan he has been found dead in his home." She says and my eyes slightly widen, someone killed Athelstan? Who would even wish to harm Athelstan? Well many have not been pleased with him after her threw the arm ring Ragnar gave him into the Fjord. But still to murder him?

"He's either with our god's or with his own, Athelstan was a good man. Torn between his belief and ours but that did not take away that he was a good man." I say with a sigh before Erik runs over and crashes his body against my legs. 

"And what's gotten you in such a hurry?" I ask him as I lift him up. "Nothing." He says timidly making me raise my brow. Seeing Herleif run by with Ubbe now Erik tries to move behind me with some giggles leaving his lips. 

"What have you been doing Erik?" Lagertha asks as he climbs down and hides behind my leg. "Hide and seek." He whispers making a chuckle leave my lips as Herleif and Ubbe run over to the dock. 

"Father have you seen Erik?" Herleif asks and I give him a shrug. "Yeah he was running to the great hall why?" I ask but the two boys just start running off again. "Thank you!" Ubbe yells and I hear the giggles form Erik increase as he runs past us again. 

In a couple days we are sailing out, and I will have to miss my sons again. But it will only be for a couple of days, maybe weeks not like how it went in England when I had to stay for 3 years. Because this time if someone has to stay it will not be me. 

Feeling hands snake around my side I wrap one of my own around Lagertha before placing a kiss on the side of her head. "Have I ever told you, that I love you." I softly say as I move to stand behind her with my arms wrapped around her. 

"Maybe once or twice." She says while I lean my chin on her shoulder before biting her jawline making her move her elbow back into my stomach. "Well I love you." I say with a smile on my lips. 

"And I love you, but I've also told you that your only allowed to bite me when we are having sex." She says as she turns around in my hold before patting my cheek. "Are you excited about Paris?" I ask with a soft smile as my hands move to her hips.

"I am it's just sad Athelstan will never be able to see it again, he became like family in the years he was with us." She answers with a sigh and I give her a nod. "I know but he's either with our god's or the one he believes in, even if it's a false one." I say before ending it with a grin making my wife roll her eyes before pecking my lips . 

"Now did you not have work to do?" She counters as she starts walking away from me, walking after her I place my hands on her hips again before I start pushing her towards the great  hall. "Children are good, the boats are almost ready, but I'm still a man who craves his wife's body."  I whisper in her ear making a short laugh leave her lips. 

"You are worse than a dog that's in heat Fenrir."

"I thought you loved that about me." I counter as I continue to move her towards the great hall.

Some Days Later. 

As everyone is slowly but surely getting on the boats I walk over to my sons and the servant named Tora who will look after them with Aslaug and the other servants I open my arms and it takes Erik and Herleif almost no time to run into them as I lift them off the ground. 

"When will you be back?" Herleif asks me with a small frown on his face. "Soon, just a few weeks. It will not be like the last time I promise" I say with a soft smile making him hesitantly nod his head

"You come back?" Erik asks and I place a kiss on the top of his head. "I will, with many riches and stories about this city they call Paris." I say as Lagertha walks over with a tiny smile on her lips. "What have I told you before?" I ask Herleif who gives me a smile before speaking. 

"When the wolves howl over Kattegat you have returned." He says as I place him down and he pulls his mother into a hug. "Good, now you both stay out of trouble and listen to Tora and Aslaug." I say as I tickle Erik's stomach making giggles leave his lips as he trashes around in my hold. 

"I-i promise!" Erik giggles out and I stop tickling him before Lagertha takes him out of my hold and I think almost suffocates the boy right now with how tightly she's hugging him. Taking a step forward towards Tora I take Lyall from her with a smile on my lips as his eyes are already staring at me .

"Now my littlest wolf, me and your mother must leave for some weeks but soon we will be back. But you look after you brothers Oke, make sure they don't get in trouble." I say with a smile before Lagertha speaks. "How can he look after his brothers when he can't even sit up yet?" she says making me roll my eyes. 

"Why do you have to ruin my moment with my littlest wolf?" I say with a raised brow as Lyall takes my finger and shakes it around with some sounds leaving his lips. "So you two be aware because Lyall is watching over the both of you, and if you get in any trouble he will tell me." I say as I raise my brow at my two oldest sons. 

"But mother is right how can he? He's so small." Herleif says and I give him a shrug. "That is between me and Lyall, isn't that right littlest wolf." I say with a baby voice at the end making him release some sounds as he waves my finger around. 

"Hey, no." I say to my wife as she tries to take our youngest son as I move him closer to my side. "Give him to me Fenrir." She says with that famous look of her with a raised brow making a sigh leave my lips. 

"Alright, I'll see you soon. And your father loves you." I say before placing a kiss on his forehead and handing him to Lagertha. Looking at Erik and Herleif with a raised brow I soon squat down before placing a hand each on their shoulder. 

"Look after each other oke? We are wolves and we look after our pack." I say with a soft smile making them both nod before they both practically tackle me in the ground as their arms wrap around me.

"We will." Herleif says as I place a kiss on both of their heads before pulling away. 

"Are you two coming we do not have all day." Ragnar says as he walks past us making a snarl leave my lips. "It is alright, listen to Tora and Aslaug, and we love you little wolves." Lagertha says as she hands Lyall to Tora before moving down and placing a kiss on the heads of our sons. 

"Love You!" Erik loudly yells pulling a chuckle from my lips before Herleif speaks. "We love you too." He says and with that me and Lagertha start walking over to one of our ships.  Moving down on it I see the wolves there while Freki runs over to stand between Erik and Herleif and I could not stop myself. 

Moving my head back I release a loud howl and soon I hear more mix together with mine as the ship slowly starts to move away from the dock. Opening my eyes as I look towards my sons  I see they are waving making a smile appear on my face as Lagertha walks next to me. 

"Ready for Paris?" She asks me and I give her a nod. "Paris here we come."
