"You know what else? I have deja vu a lot." Melanie said.

"Same. I mean, like all the time." Marnie agreed.

"Really?" Aggie asked the twins. Receiving a nod from them both in return. "Well you know, if you could practice-"

"Mother!" Gwen interrupted. "Could I talk to you in the kitchen for just one minute?"

"Absolutely, dear." Aggie answered. "As soon as I get the children into their costumes."

"Costumes?" Gwen asked as Sophie came back again.

Aggie began pulling things out of her bag left and right. Two cloaks for the twins, a ghost for Sophie and a viking helmet with hair and horns for Dylan.

Marnie's cloak was orange, yellow, pink and purple. With a matching pointed hat. Melanie had a matching set, but hers were red, indigo, black and gold.

Sophie had a simple white sheet like ghost costume, and Dylan had a big fat viking one on.

"This is so awesome." Marnie said while her and Melanie twirled.

"We're wiccans!" Melanie said with a huge smile.

"I'm a ghost!" Sophie said from under the sheet.

"I think I'm a big pimple." Dylan said. Marnie and Melanie had to try so hard not to laugh at him.

"Alright, that's it!" Gwen shouted over everyone. "Mother, these children are not going out trick or treating, and now it is time for dinner." After her angry rant, she went to the kitchen.

"But, mom..." Marnie began.

"No, no. She's right." Aggie said. Before leaning in just to whisper to the kids. "We'll eat the candy later."

After that, the kids all cheered. Even Dylan, albeit slightly, and went to ear dinner.

Once it was finished, Sophie was trying to sound like a ghost. The grandmother helping her.

"Well, mother, your visits been very educational. But, it's time for bed." Gwen told her mother and children.

"Awe, mom." Melanie and Marnie spoke.

"Come on mom." Sophie said.

"Oh, she's right. Your mother and I need to talk about grownup things anyway." Aggie told the kids.

"Can't you at least tell us a bed time story?" Sophie asked her.

"Yeah, great idea." Marnie and Melanie said.

"Yeah!" Dylan said. Shocking everyone. "I mean, horrible idea."

"C'mon, mom, please?" The twins asked.

"Well..." Gwen started off. "All right. But just one."

After the kids went upstairs, the girls to their room and Dylan to his, they changed into their pajamas.

Soon after, their grandma came up to read to them.

"Hi." Dylan said as he stopped in the door to the girl's shared room. "Just came by to check that everyone's got there thermostat set to 68 degrees. Because it's important to conserve energy during the evening hours and-"

"Dylan!" Marnie cut off his rambling.

"Just get in here, dork." Melanie said.

As Dylan walked in, he sat on Sophie's bed. Next to their Grandma and across from Marnie. Melanie was sat right next to her fraternal twin.

"Which story are you gonna tell us, grandma? Is it one I know?" Sophie asked.

"Oh, no. I wouldn't think so. My story is about a magical place, where many different sorts of creatures live together in peace."

"Like Cleveland?" Dylan asked, receiving looks from the women around him. "I hear they have a nice school district."

"Well, actually, the place I'm speaking of is called Halloweentown. And the residents are a bit more...exotic. Monsters, goblins, ghosts, and vampires. Gnomes and skeletons."

"Do they have banshees there too?" Melanie asked.

"By the dozens. And, of course, a few very fine witches." Aggie said, while looking at her twin granddaughters.

"I don't like witches." Sophie said. "They're mean and scary."

"Oh, no, no, no, sweetheart. They're just like everyone else. Some are kind some are mean. That's the way they use their magic." Aggie said in response. "You can't tell what's in a monster's heart, just by looking at them. Sometimes, some of the slimiest, grunchiest, ugliest little monsters, turn out to be the nicest."

"I wanna go there." Sophie said in awe.

"Excuse me, but we have and impressionable young child here. I think we should make it clear that this place we're talking about is just pretend."
