The light from the talisman grew brighter again. It overwhelmed Calabar, and he vanished.

The talisman then floated over, and directly into Aggie Cromwell's hand. The family hugged each other, and the other residents of Halloweentown surrounded them. All cheering.

Aggie went over to the pumpkin, and reinstalled the light. Gwen hugged each of her kids again, and again. When she got to the twins for the final time, she pulled them both in for the tightest hug she could give.

"Oh, I'm so proud of you." Gwen said to the girls, before pulling away.

"Mom?" Marnie asked.

"Yes, sweetheart?"

"You were right. There was a lot about Halloweentown that, we didn't understand." Melanie said. Marnie nodding.

"And I'm sorry about the things I said."

"And did."

"And I'm sorry, that I didn't trust you two." Gwen told her girls. "You are everything I ever could have hoped for in daughters, and so much more." Gwen hugged the twins one last time, as Aggie came back over.

"Oh, my. You've got quite a coven here, my dear." Aggie told her daughter.

"Yeah. And I thought they were a handful before." Gwen said back.

"Hey, it wasn't me." Dylan told them. "That stuff coming outta my finger tips was probably just static electricity. Or maybe that Aurora Borealis thing I was reading about."

Melanie rolled her eyes at her brother. He'd accept being magic one day. She just knew it.

"I forgot about Luke!" Marnie said after she saw the boy, then chased after him.

"Hmm...5 dollars says she kisses him." Melanie told her mom.

"You're on." Gwen said as she shook Mel's hand.

They watched Marnie and Luke interact. Before getting ready to board the bus. When they looked back, it was just in time to see Marnie kiss Luke's cheek.

"Ha!" Melanie said. Holding her hand out to her mom.

"Yeah, yeah." Gwen said as she handed 5 dollars to her lookalike kid.

The two looked at Aggie, Dylan and Sophie. Both poing a finger at them and saying, in unison, "Don't tell Marnie."

Aggie set off to get her other grandkid, and the goblin she was with. She had talked to someone, apparently, about Luke being a sort of conductor, for the bus.

All of Halloweentown cheered for the Cromwell family, as they walked up to the bus.

"Well, I suppose I'll have to give the children back now." Aggie told Gwen.

"You know, Mother? I have to admit, you're really very good with them." Gwen said.

"Thank you."

"You know, I was thinking. I could use a babysitter on Thursday nights. You know, my PTA meetings, sometimes they go on forever."

"Oh, dear, you know I can't cross over. Only on Halloween nights."

"Hmmm. Well, then I guess you're just gonna have to come live with us." Gwen said with a smile. "That is, if you want to."

"Grandma's gonna come live with us?" Marnie asked.

"Oh, that would be so cool." Melanie said.

"We can show you all our books. And we have all the Frankenstein movies on video." Marnie ranted.

"Then, you can show us how to-" Melanie began. Only to look around frantically. "Oh, no! Where's our brooms?"

"Oh don't panic dear. Don't panic." Aggie said. Right before she let out a loud whistle, and her suitcase moved over to her. "Yes. Follows me everywhere."

Marnie and Melanie opened it up, and each pulled out their brooms. "I thought we could continue your studies." Aggie said to them.

Melanie began to walk to the bus, but her mom grabbed her broom and pulled it away.

"Uh, no." Gwen said to them.

"What?" Melanie whispered.

"I'm gonna be finishing your training." Gwen said.

Melanie leaned her head on her mom's shoulder and hugged her tightly.

"All aboard for the mortal world!" Luke called out as he rang the bell on the bus.

The entire family got on, and found seats. Marnie and Aggie sat together. Gwen and Sophie, and Melanie and Dylan. Each of them staring out the window and waving to the residents of Halloweentown.

"Thanks kids! See ya in the afterlife! Ha!" Benny called to them as he waved bye.

Melanie looked over her seat at her sister, and they both smiled and fondly rolled their eyes. Then they simultaneously called back to him out the windows.

"Bye, Benny." They both said with a laugh.

"See ya, later. I can feel it in my bones!" Ha!"

All of Halloweentown waved goodbye, and the bus took off back to the mortal world.

Overall, Melanie really enjoyed her experience in Halloweentown. Regardless of her mom's evil ex-boyfriend, who just so happened to be the Mayor and wanted to take over the mortal world cause she chose a human over him.

As Melanie looked behind her to see her twin and grandma, and in front of her to see Sophie and her mom, she knew things were gonna change. Big time.

But as she looked next to her to see her brother looking at his hands with a small, but noticeable smile, she knew it was for the better.

Melanie wrapped her arm around Dylan's shoulder, and gave him a hug. He returned it, and they smiled at each other.

Oh, yeah. Things are definitely gonna be different. But at least they have their family to get through it.

THE END.

For now.~

A/N~Well, that concludes the first book in my Halloweentown series. I am like 95% sure I'll be working into November to finish all the books, but oh well. Doesn't matter how long it takes, I will finish the whole series. As long as you promise to read it.

Also, Gwen and Melanie betting on Marnie just cracks me up.

See you next time.<3
