The next morning dawned and the sun's rays flooded the motel room. The mood was lighter than before as the BAU team members prepared to spend another day in the remote town. Spencer Reid had been thinking about Derek's words all night and felt more determined than ever to talk to JJ about his feelings.

While everyone was getting ready for the day, Derek Morgan secretly looked for an opportune moment to talk to Penelope Garcia. Finally, when they were in a quiet corner, he said, "Hey, Pen, I have a request."

Penelope looked at him curiously. "Okay, fire away! What do you want?"

"Could we maybe swap rooms? So you and Spencer?" Derek asked cautiously.

Penelope raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Wow, that's...unexpected. But why? Is there a reason for it?"

Derek hesitated for a moment before sighing and deciding to be honest. "It's about Spencer. He has feelings for JJ and wants to talk to her about it. But he feels uncomfortable and nervous around her. I thought maybe he could concentrate better if he wasn't in her room."

Penelope looked at him with wide eyes and a wide smile spread across her face. "Oh, my God, that's so sweet! Spencer has feelings for JJ? That's great!"

Derek smiled slightly embarrassed. "Yeah, I think so. But you have to understand that he's really nervous and I think it might help him if he had a little more space."

Penelope nodded understandingly. "Of course, Derek. I understand. If this makes him feel better, then I'm all for it. And honestly, I think it's great that he's finally decided to do something."

Derek relaxed, relieved at how positively Penelope responded. "Thanks, Pen. That really means a lot to me."

Penelope winked at him. "No thanks, my friend. I'm always here to help."

And so the room change was arranged, and as JJ and Penelope settled into their new room, Penelope could hardly contain her excitement. She couldn't wait to tell JJ about Spencer's feelings and see how everything would turn out. The day brought a mix of anticipation and curiosity as the team prepared for what lay ahead.
