"Do you think of him as a friend?" Moonbyul asked.
Rosé nodded without hesitation.
"Then you've answered your own question. You must have seen something good in him to consider him as a friend. From what I've seen, he's opening a restaurant soon and it's a proper legitimate business.
Plus, he's a loyal friend that sticks by his friends and he's a generous person that cares about his workmates. I don't think there's anything wrong with someone like that," Moonbyul answered honestly.
He had done a background check on Jisoo before and his history was completely clear, so Moonbyul was not concerned about this man. Otherwise, he would definitely tell Rosé to stay away from him.
Rosé admired Moonbyul for his clear observation. He was right.
At that moment, she smiled at Moonbyul and asked, "Can I be friends with you too?"
Moonbyul laughed, "I thought we already were."
His smile was charming and he had a sophisticated presence that drew Rosé's interest. As she looked at him, she noticed his hair was a little messy on the back of his head. It looked completely out of place on this refined man, so she subconsciously stretched out her hand to help him neaten it.
"What happened to the back of your head," she laughed.
Moonbyul touched his hair and quickly tried to smooth it out. "I must have run into something when I was going to the bathroom," he replied. But, he quickly realized it was caused by Jennie.
As he reminisced on the kiss from earlier, he felt tingles down his spine at the thought of Jennie's fingers running through his hair. That was something that Sara used to do when he kissed her too. He felt his heart race when he thought about it.
At that moment, inside the staff kitchen of the karaoke bar, Jisoo received a phone call while he was waiting for Moonbyul's noodles to reheat. He glanced down at the caller ID and quickly picked it up.
"Tell your Boss..."
It was Khemkhaeng and he was finally setting a time and place for his meeting with Lisa.
...
Downstairs, Lisa mopped up the floor and cleaned up the lab. He then returned to the bedroom to check on Jennie. She had fallen asleep.
Lisa checked the time, it was already 8pm.
An entire day passed and they didn't do anything they were supposed to do. It was obvious that he was right, Jennie had been deliberately distracting him. Lisa looked at the woman and smirked. Now that she was asleep, it was time to start working...
...
The next morning, Jennie woke up to find Lisa asleep next to her. She quietly sneaked out of bed, trying her best not to wake him up. The longer he stayed asleep, the less time he would have to work on the bomb.
After she brushed her teeth and freshened up, Jisoo arrived with breakfast and lunch. Jennie gestured for Jisoo to remain quiet so Lisa could sleep and Jisoo did as told.
"When the Boss wakes up, tell him that Niran wants to meet him at 8pm tomorrow night in the cabin from last time," he whispered.
Jennie nodded her head. Even God was on her side. There was no way she was relaying this information to Lisa.
"By the way, your friend came looking for you yesterday at your apartment. His name was Moonbyul. He said happy birthday and asked when you'd be back so he could treat you to a meal. I'll be seeing him again today. What should I tell him?"
Jennie smiled and quickly scribbled a little note. He then handed it to Jisoo. "Give this to him," she said.
Jisoo nodded as he shoved the note in his pocket and left. "I'll be back at dinner time," he said.
A few hours later, Lisa finally woke up. It was already midday.
He stepped out of the room to find Jennie washing some dishes in the kitchenette, so he walked over and hugged her from behind.
Jennie enjoyed the hug and secretly wished that she could wake up to a hug like that every single day. As she smiled, Lisa leaned forward and placed a kiss on her lips.
"Go brush your teeth," Jennie giggled as she tilted her head.
Lisa laughed and wandered off to the bathroom obediently.
While he was in the bathroom, Jennie walked over and yelled through the door, "Jisoo came by earlier and said that Niran wants to meet you at 11pm tomorrow at the cabin from last time," she lied.
"OK," Lisa replied.
"To be honest, I don't think we can make the bomb in time," Jennie said. "Why don't you just cancel the deal?"
At that time, Lisa stepped out of the bathroom and walked over to one of the storage closets. "Lucky I got started last night," he said as he opened it up.
Jennie's heart sank as she looked at the man in surprise. Sitting inside the closet was a half completed bomb...
...
That afternoon, Jisoo went to feed Kuma and met Moonbyul outside Jennie's apartment.
"This is from Jennie," Jisoo said as he handed Moonbyul the note from Jennie.
"Thanks," Moonbyul said as he received the note.
He then opened it up and looked at it secretly. The note read, "8pm, where I got my hair clip last time." Jennie was smart, she wrote down something that only Moonbyul would understand, just in case Jisoo looked at the note.
Moonbyul immediately remembered how he traced Jennie's hairclip to a cabin last time and smiled.
"Tell her, I'll see her there. I'm looking forward to seeing her," he replied.
