TW: Spooky

Gravedigger barely managed to open his eyes before a blinding light made him shield them back... He blinked a few times trying to adjust his vision... This...This wasn't the cabin...

Upon fully gathering himself, he was greeted with an empty room. A pink void of sorts. Nothing moved... No sounds could be heard. Not even his own breath made noise... It was quiet. Lifeless, just like the barren land they were stranded upon currently. But unlike that winter wonderland outside, this was... Nothing. For miles it seemed like nothing stood, no being, no building. Pure emptiness.

Gravedigger turned behind to scan his surroundings a little better, gazing upon tall structures of some kind, towering over him. They seemed to be made of a translucent material akin to a crystal. The closer he got to said 'crystals', the walls of the room started to take shape through the pink haze. They were rough, made of stone... A cave... He was inside a cave. But there was no entrance, no exit, no welcoming light to show him the way to the imense forest. None...nothing.

Grave walked forward, closing in on one of the mighty minerals. He was but an ant compared to it...He watched as his face distorted on the crystaline surface... He saw his thin figure hidden by his uncle's sweater morph around... He leaned forward as he tried gazing through the glass like object... For a moment blurriness set in his line of sight. Perhaps his breath fogged the surface... but no.. There was an image...Trick or Treat Town?
Is...Is that uncle Sinister?

A scene unfolded in front of his eyes. He watched as Lord Sinister marched triumphantly through the wrecked village. Citizens hiding inside their homes as he went by, only peaking above their window sill. Grave remembered that night, it was the first time in two years he managed to go trick or treating. Himself, Molten, Ducky and Frost were all dressed for the occasion, faces obstructed by the masks of ghouls, zombies and vampires they wore. Between the crying children and terrified adults, they looked fearless, waiting for their uncle to finish his show. That was their truce, in the first part of the night the children get to have their fun, and in the last part the Lord of the Pumpkin Patch gets to have his.

The film paused on Sinister's smiling figure. Grave took in his uncle's wide grin... He hasn't seen that in a while. Suddenly, his smug smile started to twist, Sinister's eyes began bleeding their vibrant yellow hue down his cheeks. His very being burning alive.
Grave jumped away in surprise, triping over his own feet. That was not part of the memory!

The crystal lit up, the boy measuring it with his gaze curiously. A ghostly face appeared inside the crystal surface above him. Then an axe, then a whole body.

"U-Uncle S-Sinister?!"

No response. No movement. It's identical to a statue but... It can't be.. It's just too real, his clothes, his hair, the armor, the proud stance showing off his axe.. Grave took a step back, eyes glued to his supposed 'uncle'. M-maybe it was just his imagination... It has been a long day and it's late.. Yeah, it's getting really late, he surely must be exhausted!

He flinched as he backed into another pinkish crystal. He glanced back, another sequence beginning. This time it was Krampus... The day he disappeared.. He was at the Tower base, pleading for help, someone to save his brother. A few Towers beckoned for him to follow... Then the mineral flashed, showing him alone in the garage, the portal sparking to life... The last thing Grave witnessed was his older uncle's face freezing on the surface as his showed nothing but despair. It made Grave's heart sting, his fingers tracing Krampus's teary eyes. The fear visible on his pale face as he learned what fate awaited him...
Again, Gravedigger looked up and there it was... His uncle's figure, he appeared serious in comparison to his brother, although most of his face was hidden by his helmet, his staff raised in defense. Grave reluctantly took his hand off the smooth surface.
