All the late nights staying up to play video games, moving in together, going to college together, going on vacation together, hanging out alone and with their friends, and everything else
Aaron didn't remember anything from before he was 15
Aphmau met him as Shu when he had just turned 16
If she just met him a year before he might remember just a bit of her
Aphmau rolled over in her bed when she got a notification
She grabbed her phone and it was a text from Melissa

Hey Aph... Aaron just got out of his therapy.
They said he might be regaining some memories but they can't be sure
They said that the therapy could help him get his memories back

Melissa reacted to the message with a heart and Aphmau set her phone down
She looked over to her desk, where she had left stuff for a project she had done a few days ago out
The small blade she was using to cut stuff was basically glowing to her
Suddenly she remembered a conversation she had with Zane before, when she innocently asked about the scars she saw on his wrist
She wonders if doing the same thing to herself would make her feel any better as Zane said it did for him
She got up in a daze, walking over to her desk to grab the blade
She went back to her bed and put the blade on her wrist
She quickly pulled it across her wrist
She was shocked by the way her skin tore open and how quickly her wrist started bleeding
But that didn't stop her
She doesn't know how many cuts she had when an alarm on her phone went off
She looked over at it and saw what the alarm was for
'take your meds -Zane'
She remembered that Zane had put an alarm on her phone to make sure she took her meds, as this was the first time she ever had meds and forgot to take them often
She ignored the blood running down her arm and onto her bed, as she grabbed her depression medication
She only meant to take two but that didn't stop her from pouring the entire bottle into her hand
She grabbed her water bottle and took all of them
It took a few seconds to realize what she had just done and how it would probably end
She grabbed her phone and went to Zane's contact

I'm so sorry
I can't do this anymore
Please don't try and save me
I took all my meds

I hope you can understand why I did this

Aphmau was going to set down her phone to grab the blade again when she got a text from Zane

Aphmau set her phone down, ignoring the Life 360 notification that said Zane had left his house
Aphmau brought the blade back to her wrist, ignoring the pain as she pushed down as hard as she could and quickly swiped vertically, distorting the still-bleeding horizontal lines
She did the same on her other wrist
She lay back on her bed, blacking out as she saw someone walk through the door to her room
"Zane....?"
Her voice was weak as her vision started to blur due to the meds and blood loss
Zane got on her bed next to her, pulling her into his lap and wrapping his arms around her
"Shh, Aph. It's okay, I'll tell everyone you love them. You'll be okay, I promise."
Aphmau cried as he weakly wrapped her arms around Zane, just barely noticing that Zane had the shirt she made for him on with his normal hoodie over one of his shoulders
"I'm tired and cold Zane... I'm sorry"
Zane quickly put his hoodie over Aphmaus's shoulders
"Shh Aph, you can go to sleep. Everything will be okay."
"I.. love you .... ZuuZuu"
"I love you too, Aph"
Zane's tears fell onto Aphmaus's head as he felt her heartbeat stop and her take her final breath
It only took a few more minutes until paramedics were forcefully pulling Aphmaus's dead body out of his arms to put it into a black bag
Zane exited the house, the paramedics pulling out the large black bag behind him to put somewhere to drive off to do an autopsy
Zane shook as he held his bloody hoodie in his hands, seeing all his friends stand outside their homes with looks of devastation on their faces
It only took a week before everyone was standing outside their homes again, watching another body bag being taken out of Garroth, Laurance's, and Zane's house
Garroth and Laurance were both sobbing and covered in blood as they watched Zane's dead body be loaded up into the same vehicle the took Aphmaus just a week before
