Zane starts to fill with panic as he throws clothes out of his closetAll of his long sleeves and long pants were gone again
He had school today, and suddenly he had the school uniform shorts and the only top he had was the one Garte had sewed the sleeves to look like they were constantly rolled up
Zane can't find his masks either
He thought Garte was going to punish him for the argument they got into yesterday but he didn't think it would happen this way
Zane tried to calm himself down as he quickly dressed himself in the uniform that showed way too much of his arms and legs
Zane looked at himself in the mirror and wanted to throw up
He could see all the scars he had that went from right below his knee down to his ankle, and all the ones going from right above his elbows down to his hands. Even the few scars on his face he had given himself in an episode.
Some of the scars were small and other ones were big. There were two watching ones on each wrist from where he had to take his own life by cutting from his wrist up to the bend in both his arms
To his dismay, Vylad found him and had him taken to a hospital
But now there were two huge scars there
Zane didn't hate his scars, he just hated showing them against his will.
There were also scars distorting the skin on his legs. Some of the scars were in the shapes of hearts, stars, and other carvings Zane did into his leg.
All of them could be so easily seen now and it made him feel sick
Zane couldn't hide his face as Garte had also taken his masks.
There were two small raised scars on his exposed cheek, only just now fully scaring over.Zane didn't say anything to his family as he grabbed his bag and left, he wanted to walk to school.
He couldn't stand riding in Garroth's car while Garroth and Vylad stared or glanced at his scars making the five-minute ride feel like 50 minutes
Zane got to the school at the same time he normally did, as soon as the doors opened.
Zane walks through the doors and puts his bag in his locker, trying to ignore the eyes of his peers on him
Zane makes his way to class just to remember that he had a presentation in front of the entire class and some of the school admins.
His teacher had picked him because of his brother's great reputation and just hoped Zane could live up to them.
Zane only had about ten minutes to prepare until he was in front of his class, who were mostly all obviously gossiping about him, and a few of the school admins.
Zane gives his presentation for basically the entire class period and, as directed by the teacher, asks if his classmates have any questions
Zane picks one of the loud students and immediately regrets it
"Are you suicidal?"
Zane's face remains just as cold as he always keeps it
"I asked for any questions on the presentation, not my body. Keep those questions to yourself"
Zane hears the kid make some comment about him being no fun but ignores it, picking some other people to ask questions and answering all of them with fake enthusiasm
At the end of the class, one of the school admins pulls Zane into her office
"Take a seat, Zane"
Zane nods and sits down across from here
"So I have been informed that your family knows about all of the scars over your body and that you ar currently getting treatment for it, is that correct?"
Zane nods and waits for the lady to continue
"It seems these scars are very distracting to your classmates, would you like an extra pair of pants and a top from the school nurse? You don't have to take it but I feel like it would benefit you and your peers both"
"Uhm, yeah. I want those. thank you"
Zane is sent to go get the clothes from the nurses office and the rest of his day goes mostly normalMore people are still looking at him and he doesn't have a mask Garte yells at him when he gets home and forces Zane to change so he can take the long clothesLuckily it was Thursday on a four day weekend so Zane didn't have school again any time soon
