Zane looks around as he slowly wakes up.
He was on the ground in some forest
The last thing he remembers is Lucinda and Kim screaming for him as Celestia accidentally pushes him through a portal
Zane stands up and dusts his clothes off
He grabs his phone out of his pocket and tries to turn it on, to no use.
His phone won't even try to power on, and he knows it's not dead because he just took it off charge.
"What in Irene's name,,,"
Zane slowly mutters to himself.
He picks a random direction and starts walking
After a few minutes, he sees someone that looks familiar
"Five? You're here too? Do you know why we are here, this doesn't look like any place I've seen before"
Vylad turns around and his eyes go wide.
He quickly loads his bow and shoots Zane in the shoulder, directly when Garroth had stabbed him before
Zane screams and puts his hand to the arrow
"Five,,,? Please no. Don't tell me they are controlling you. Please"
Zane's voice is broken as he tries to walk over to who he thinks is his little brother.
Vylad is a bit thrown off by how Zane is acting and lets Zane get close enough to cup Vylad's cheek in his hand.
"Please Five. You know what happened on Starlight. With Seven, Seven and Six. We told you. I told you."
Vylad was even more confused. Why was Zane using numbers instead of names?
"Get away from me. You're lucky I didn't shoot you in the head. I don't know who seven, five, or six are"
"What,,,? Your five! Our brother is Seven! And you used to live with the other seven. You were not alone buddies with six in high school. What are you going on about?"
Vylad stepped away and saw pure pain and hurt on Zane's face.
Zane reached up to his shoulder and pulled the arrow out.
he took off his jacket and put it to the hole in his shoulder
"The only brother I have is Garroth. and my name is Vylad, not five. I have never lived with someone named Seven, and I didn't go to high school. You know damn well I died when I was 11"
Zane's heart broke even more
"What? You know that after I got turned into a relic for Six to use in her fight against the demon warlock I can only call people close to me by the amount of letters in their name. And you're not dead!"
Vylad loaded his bow again and pointed it at Zane's heart
"May Irene have mercy on your inexistent soul"
Zane was confused for a second until he fell to his knees, an arrow straight through his heart
Zane looked up at Vylad with a look only a heartbroken brother could give
Vylad ran off, running faster than any human should be able to run
He left Zane to die
Zane started sobbing as he fell to his side, dyeing
It didn't take long for Zane to take his last breath
