Was all the girl could speak before passing out.

You, still in shock sent your snow angles to finish the curse of with one swift movement of their daggers.

You saw the unconscious figure curled up into a ball on the cold floor.

There really was nothing you could do but you needed to.

You needed to find the key.

But to your surprise there was no sign of key in anywhere near the dungeon.

Having no choice you pulled your hairpin from your hair bun, and tried to unlock the lock with it.

You never tried something like this on your own but years ago you saw your mother using this method to get into the mansion with you when you were kicked out for some reason.

You inserted the pin into the mouth of the lock and twisted it and voilà! and it opened.

You grinned at your victory before rushing to the unconscious body of the girl.

You took some water from the nearby earthen pot inside the cage and sprinkled it on her face.

At first she didn't respond but later she slowly two or more groans left her mouth before she opened her eyes just to meet with your sapphire ones.

Her neutral expression slowly turned into a saddening one as she started to cry hysterically into your arms.

You patted her back comforting her that it was alright and there is no reason to fright.

While comforting her you remembered about your younger self.

This little girl felt just like the reflection of yours about 15 years ago.

You felt your hands unconsciously caressing through her hair in an way to comfort her.

"....hush! quiet down now." You whispered to her.

She slowly started to gain composure.

"Who...are...you..?" She sniffled out.

"That is not important right now but just know that I am going to get you out of here." You replied looking into her eyes.

"out of here.."

"Out of her?! Really?!"

She asked not really believing what she just heard.

"Yes,that is correct," You assured, as you saw a glimpse of hope in her eyes.

"but not just yet." You added along.

You saw her slumping back at your words.

"Trust me, I will." You said with sincerity.

"But for that I want you to listen to every word I say in order to get out of here."

She nodded in response.

"First take this," You said handing her a bottle of potion.

"don't worry, there's nothing to be afraid of this is a magic potion made from my curse technique. It will help you to protect youself from curses when I am not around."

"How do I use it?" she asked holding the potion bottle infront of her face.

"Just keep it near yourself." You answered.

"Another thing," you said as you rummaged through your pockets to find something until your hands found it.

"Here," you said handing her a comb.

"A comb...?" she asked being confused.

you took the comb from her hand just to slide it around only to reveal a sharp dagger inside it.

She gasped as she backed away.

"G-Get a-away!" she yelled-whispered, panicking.

You sighed before speaking.

"Don't fright yourself... this is not to harm a sweet little girl as of yourself."

She looked at you still a bit uncertain but later gave up and took the comb with herself.

"I will tell you the right time to use it for now just try to act normal, and be careful." You said, as she looked at you before nodding.

Your heart started beating rapidly at the sight as you couldn't help but drag the girl into your embrace before pulling out and leave.

And ofcourse you needed to lock her cage up as it would be very unusual if someone saw it open with someone still inside!

You got out of the dungeon before going back to the shrine but to your surprise nobody was there.

You looked around just to stumble upon something huge.

You looked up to see his face staring down at you with an amused expression.

"Finding someone?" He asked looking at your face or rather the mask you wore as if he could really see your face.

"No, your majesty. I offer my earnest apologizes for not being careful while walking around." You replied bowing  down to him.

He pupils turned small before returning to his neutral expression as he passed by you without taking a single glance back.

You sighed out of relief as you walked out of the shrine.

You were currently inside the kitchen preparing the regular feast which was held in the palace.

Never in your life have you ever entered a kitchen in your life but here you were preparing some royal feast.

You saw Shizuki enter the kitchen just to rush upto you.

"My lady..." She whispered ever so slightly.

You hummed in response.

"Everybody knows that you have escaped!"

A smirk was all your your lips could curve into.
