--Esmerelda's POV--

"It's so beautiful here," I smile as my eyes try to take in everything around us. Nick has been showing me around London all day. I think Big Ben is my favorite. It's crazy to think how all of these were built before modern machinery. I can barely make peanut butter and jelly let alone without a knife.

"You fit right in besides the accent," he teases as I lean onto his arm.

"Are you sure Lexi likes me? I feel like I was failing all the tests she put on me," I tell him as he laughs.

"She's just very intense until you get to know her. I promise she likes you. My moms coming back from the hospital tonight. I was going to cook dinner but if it's too much," he says as I shake my head.

"Nick, I'm not going anywhere," I assure him. He holds my hand and smiles as we continue walking down the street. It's nice to see him in his natural element. We have to start heading back to his flat in a minute. He's showing me the little park he used to play at as a child. I wish I could take mental pictures and never forget any of it.

When we get back to the house his mom is already back. Lexi picked her up cause she was released early, "Nicky," she smiles seeing her only son. He hurries over enveloping her in a tight hug. He visited the hospital when we got in after dropping all the bags off at the house. Lexi and I got to know each other a little so they could have alone time. I was the most nervous I've ever been about anything ever.

"This must be Esme," she says as I walk over. She holds her hand out and I hug her as she laughs.

"It's nice to meet you," I smile as she holds onto my hand, "Your home is beautiful. I particularly love the picture of baby Nick with a soap Mohawk," I tell her as she smiles up at us.

"That's my favorite too," she says, "Now that I'm back from the bloody hospital. How about the two music majors play us a song?" She asks as Nick shakes his head.

"Oh come on Nicky...we can do a little duet," I tease as he looks down at me, "We have the perfect song," I tell him.

"Fine. But only if you let me play guitar," he argues. I laugh as he runs to his room to grab it.

"We wrote this song and then shortly after we started dating. I like to think of it as the reason we got together," I tell them as he walks into the room.

"It was definitely my charm that won her over," he says as they both roll their eyes.

"At least I'm not the only one who thinks he's full of himself," I tease as he sits down on the opposite couch. He tunes it for a second before giving me a look. I nod my head and start to feel nervous as he strums the chords.

By the end of the song his mom is crying and I don't know what to do. Was it that bad?

"Don't worry she always does this when she sees people singing love songs," his sister says as I smile.

"That was lovely. Did you write that? I didn't know my son was dating such a talented young lady," she says.

"He helped a lot. The song would still be a jumble of lyrics without him," I tell her as I look at him.

"Ugh I really need to find someone," Lexi says standing up and walking to the kitchen. His family is a lot like Kylie. I think that's a big reason they get along so well. It's easy to see how loved he was growing up. Nick and his mom start talking about anything under the sun as he pulls me into his side. I lean my head on his shoulder as I listen to their conversation.

"I just put in an order for food," Lexi says walking back in.

"I was going to cook tonight," Nick says as his mom widens her eyes.

"Good thing she ordered then," she teases making me laugh, "Unless Harry has been giving you lessons. I miss that boy. What's he up to?" she asks.

"He's actually dating my best friend Kylie. They are in that phase of the relationship when they both clearly love each other but their too afraid to say it first," I tell them as Nick nods his head squeezing my side.

"I miss being young and in love. You're father and I used to go out every night. We were the life of the party," she says reminiscing, "but enough about me. You two should go get cleaned up before we start dinner," she says. Nick tries to argue but she shushes him. I giggle as Nick leads me back to his room where the posters on his wall reflect how he was as a teen.

"Who do you think will say I love you first? I'm surprised Kylie hasn't cracked yet," I smile as I sit at the edge of his bed.

"Saying it too soon is terrifying. It's not easy having your heart on your sleeve," he says as I shake my head.

"I think there's no such thing as too early. Unless it's like on the third date. If you really love somebody...you should tell them, ya know? Life's too short to worry about if it's too soon or not," I tell him as he stops and turns around. I stand up for a second to grab my changer off the floor and jump when Nick puts his hands on my hips.

"I love you," he says making my eyes widen the tiniest bit, "I've never felt this way about a girl before, and having you here just made everything so much clearer," he says as I pull his head down to connect out lips.

"I love you too," I whisper as he smiles against my lips, "I feel the same way. I thought I knew what love was until I started dating you," I tell him as he pulls away leaning his head against mine. He kisses me again before pulling away.

"If only I wasn't such an asshole when we met we could have been together earlier," he says as I shake my head.

"I like our story. I think that's the main reason why I love you," I tell him as he repeats my words.

"Love is so intense. This is so serious now," he says as we both laugh.

"You're such a dork," I whisper kissing him again.
