--Esmerelda's POV--
I wipe away the fake tears as I pull up to the outside of the airport, "I'm going to miss you guys so much," I whisper with my voice breaking at the end. George and Anna roll their eyes as I get out to help them with their bags. Kylie is the only one nice enough to fake miss me too. I give the three of them a quick hug before shutting the trunk.

"Are you sure you don't want to come?" She asks. I shake my head and wave them off telling them they will miss their flight, "Please be careful this storm is getting worse," she tells me. I look up at the flurries falling around us.

"See you next year. Keep me updated on Nick," she teases before rolling her bag away. I flip her off making George laugh. He gives me a mock salute as he follows his big sister into the airport. I quickly get back into my car and pull away before security tells me to move. The airport is so fast-paced it stresses me out. When I get back onto the road it gets harder to see from the white snow. There are already a couple of inches on the ground from last night.

When I start moving towards the exit I have to take my car wheels start spinning out. I death grip the handle and try to press the break but it continues siding on the ice. I manage to pull off to the side as I catch my breath, my eyes still wide in fear. I hate this stupid car. I don't drive much in the city so it doesn't make sense for me to get another one. I stare at my GPS and I still have another thirty minutes before I get home. I turn my music on to calm me down as I put my car in drive again. When I hit the gas I don't move anywhere. I hit it again but it doesn't budge. I look in the rearview mirror and see nobody coming. I get out of the car and look at the back wheels covered in snow and ice. You're kidding me. I immediately turn my hazard lights on and try to dig around my wheel. My hands start going numb as I continue clawing at it. A jagged piece of ice cuts the inside of my palm making me hiss as I pull away. I hate the holidays.

Using the small first aid kit in my car I manage to stop the bleeding. No Uber is coming out here right now. Everyone I know is either flying home or already home. When I get a text from Kylie asking me why I stopped on a side ramp I call her.

"My car is stuck in the snow," I tell her as she starts freaking out. She saw my location on Find My Friends. We started tracking each other when we thought we were gonna die on the subway at 3 a.m. She starts apologizing for making me drive them to the airport but I'm the one who offered, "I might just chill in the car for a while. Harry's already home, you're there, and I'm not bothering anyone else," I tell her.

"Call Nick. He was bragging yesterday about having a good car," she says as I immediately say no, "Your car is a gas guzzler. You'll freeze once it dies," she says.

"I'd rather"

I can hear the other two chanting for me to call Nick. I can't wait until we forget about their existence for another year. I look at the miles left in my tank and know she's right. I groan throwing my head back and tell her I will. She cheers and tells me to be safe.

His contact is taunting me. I click to call and wait for a couple of rings before he picks up, "What's up?" He asks.

"I may have gotten stuck in the snow," I tell him, "The wheel is frozen in ice and it won't budge. I can call Triple A instead," I tell him before he cuts me off.

"Send me your location," he says making me shut up in shock. I take my phone from my ear and send him my exact location, "I can be there in forty," he says.

"Seriously, you don't have to," I tell him as he tells me to shut up before hanging up.  My eyes are glued in front of me as I zone out on the whiteness of the outside. My car should be fine till then. Hopefully. Now I really regret not getting gas before I left.
