--Esmerelda's POV--

"My legs are numb. I hate that place," I groan walking into the apartment. Kylie laughs as I throw my bags onto the floor. My coat magically falls off my shoulder and ends up on the floor. That's a problem from later, "Is Nick here yet?" I ask perking up when I realize what today is.

"No they got stuck in traffic," she says as I drop my head, "that just means you have time to shower before he gets here," she says making me smile.

"Fine"

I slowly walk into my bedroom and go to the closet trying to find something to wear. I wrote leggings and a cute sweater to the internship hoping I'd walk in looking cute for him, but a shower couldn't hurt. I turn my desk chair to grab my towel when I see Nick lying in my bed waiting for me to notice him, "Hey," he says as my eyes stay wide. I'm frozen in place until he opens his arms. I scream before tackling him into a hug. He groans as I laugh. His arms wrap around my body as I wrap my legs around his lap.

"Kylie said you weren't home yet," I tell him as he leans in pressing his lips to mine, "someone missed me," I mumble against his mouth.

"Essy, you should have seen her. She cried when I walked in," he says making me smile, "I didn't tell them I was coming and when I knocked on the door my sister freaked out," he smiles.

"How is she doing?" I ask as I play with his hand in mine.

"The chemo is working. I didn't really understand half the things they were telling me but it's looking hopeful," he says kissing my knuckles.

"That's amazing," I tell him, "I'm so happy for you"

"I can't stop replaying everything in my head. It was like a fucking Hallmark movie with how perfect it went," he says wrapping his arms around me.

"I am proud of you," I tell him matter-of-factly. His smile is contagious as he moves his lips against mine again. I place my hands on his cheeks as he rests on my lower back. I hum into the kiss as his hands tangle in my hair. He uses his lips to slow down the kiss making me melt in his hands.

"We should probably go back outside before Harry starts getting jealous," he says as I groan.

"He's had Kylie all weekend. It's only fair I steal his best friend," I tell him.

"Then you're going to hate that he planned a night out with some of our other friends," he says as I raise an eyebrow.

"I'm offended we weren't invited but I get it," I tell him refusing to get off his lap, "That means we have at least two hours before you have to go," I point out.

"What do you propose we do with that time?" He asks pressing his lips to my jawline. I tilt my head and smile as he begins leaving open-mouthed kisses down my neck.

"I have some ideas," I tell him as he hums against my skin.

"Oh yeah?" He asks leaning back to look at me. I nod my head as he keeps his hands locked on my hips.

I sit up holding the sheet over myself, "don't look at me like that," he says as he pulls his pants up his thighs.

"Like what?" I ask with a smile.

"Like that," he says walking back over. He throws his T-shirt at me and I smile as I slip it in over myself. He throws his hoodie on as I pull my shorts on. I gasp as he picks me up. My legs immediately wrapped around his waist as he pressed me against the wall, "I wish I didn't have to go," he says as I bite my lip.

"I'll just be here...alone," I whisper playing with the back of his hair.

"You're going to kill me," he says as I drop my legs back down.

"Go have fun. You need a guy's night," I tell him. He kissed me one last time before opening my bedroom door. I follow him out and lean against the kitchen counter as he lets himself out.

"I hate you," Kylie says making me jump.

"What?"

"Oh Nick," she moans making me immediately cover my ears. She chases me around the house mocking me as I scream trying to block her out.

"Stop it," I yell as I jump into her bed.

"I'm guessing you guys had a good time," she says making me want to throw up.

"I didn't realize you could hear us," I tell her covering my face with the pillow.

"Miss Girl"

"Sorry?" I offer.

"Pizza"

I groan and get up to grab my phone. We have had this rule that if we can hear sex sounds the other one deserves food. Most of the time I'm the one getting food. My stupid rule backfired on me. It's almost 9 o'clock when the pizza gets here. There were like a billion delays. By the time it got here, it was cold, thankfully we like cold pizza. I walk into her room and see she's picked a movie for us tonight.

"Did Harry tell you anything about their guy's night tonight?" I ask sitting down.

"Not much. Why?" She asks. I shrug my shoulders as I put my phone on the nightstand. I pass her a plate and smile at the pizza in front of us. She gets up to go pee halfway through the movie. She always picks the worst time of the movie to go to the bathroom. It's always at the height of the drama or when the murderer is about to kill. Honestly, it's a skill.

"Ummm....have you looked at your phone at all tonight?" She asks making my heart drop.

"No? What happened?" I ask scared of the answer. She hands me her phone and it's a picture of the guys at a club. My heart drops to the floor shattering into a million pictures seeing Nick. Taylor is sprawled across his lap as his hands rest high up on her thighs.

"It might not be what it looks like," she says as a tear drops from my eye.

"What else could this be? I spent all of Thursday night talking him up. I just never expected that to backfire like this," I whisper wiping my eyes.

"I can't text Harry. I can ask what's up," she offers as I shake my head.

"He's not even doing anything wrong. We aren't even dating," I tell her trying to push the disappointment away.

"Don't do that. You know this isn't right," she says as I cover my face with my hands.

"I'm such an idiot to think he changed," I tell her frustrated with myself.

"This doesn't make sense," she says as I shake my head. It makes perfect sense I just didn't want to admit it. I was stupid enough to actually believe he could care about someone other than himself. I spent so much energy thinking he actually cared. What kind of sick game is he playing? I guess he wanted to gain as many groupies as he could before the internship took him anywhere.

"I...I'm going to get air," I tell her climbing out of her bed.

"Esme, where are you going?" She asks as I wave her off and slide my shoes on. I take deep breaths until I'm outside, the cold air filling my lungs. It's been almost two months of me falling for him. I lean on the edge and slide down the half-wall. I drop my head to my knees and sob as I take my phone out to stare at the photo. I click on Harry's story and see it's a video of them all taking shots. So much of a guy's night. After they take the shot they are in the background talking closely as the rest of the guys laugh. My tears make my eyes blurry as I shove my phone into my pocket.

The stars are the only thing distracting me from continuing to cry my eyes out. I'm going to kill him.
