I had a puppy before, and whenever he made some mistakes, he would give me those innocent, poor eyes, touching my heart until it softened with his cuteness. This is what I felt seeing Vand's expression.

I can see his dropping ears and his tails between his legs, poking me with his finger, waiting for my reaction. Well, should I tell him that it's okay because this is what I've been wanting all along, or should I say that he is a hypocrite for this? He said he would talk to my father first, but now I am marked.

But I know he does not do it on purpose, and despite that, I am happy. I am very happy to finally be marked by him, his omega, my alpha... the most intimate thing that both of us have.

"I know," I answered while looking straight into his eyes. I had to convey to him that I was truly fine. We are partners, not competitors. We make mistakes, and sometimes we may eat our own words, but at the end of the day, we are one.

"You are not angry?" He held my hand, still feeling anxious, but compared to a while ago, it was already better.

When I reached my teenage years, I had this weird obsession to a perfect romance. Finding my own prince charming in a world full of witches. Finding my own alpha in a world where mates are valued because they hardly come.

I wanted to have a perfect boyfriend who would always cater to my whims, understand my flaws, and support everything I do. A boyfriend who will always follow what I want, even if it is sometimes stupid.

To this day, I still have that in mind. However, I ask myself, do I really have to find those in one person, or should I be the one to start giving all of those to this one person? Why find a prince charming when I can be that prince charming to this alpha in front of me?

"Well, you said you would talk to my father first," I said in a sarcastic tone, "... but... have you realized that maybe I am fine with it too? That if I have to do it all over again, I still want you to mark me." This time, I said it with all my heart, softly and clearly.

I love this alpha in front of me.

Vand pounced on me for an embrace, burying his head in my chest. I can feel his body heat up, and I melted at this very moment. "What are you doing, haha." Was I too romantic, and his heart couldn't take it?

"Thank you," he said in a muffled voice.

"Hmm? Thank you because you have a very beautiful and extra gorgeous lover?" It was a good time to tease him and to boast about myself.

Vand lifted his head and looked at me from below, his eyes reddish, but I saw no sign of tears falling. "I do indeed have a beautiful and extra gorgeous lover, but most of all..." he kissed me on my chest and added, "a lover who treats me well. When did I become so lucky?"

"Right? You should cherish this lover if I were you." I am as lucky as him. Not everyone finds their mate, but I happen to have mine beside me. It was such a happy feeling to be able to find that person who solely belongs to you.

After eating, Vand and I left the isolation room. We both decided to talk directly to my father to settle everything and start doing PDAs! Oh, how much I wanted to show my love for Vand in front of Silver. Huh! I still have that trauma from seeing him and Zlato that day.

It was already night when we reached home, and for some reason, I couldn't comprehend that both my brother and my father were sitting in the living room as if waiting for us to arrive. What are the odds, right? I looked at Vand, and he just smiled at me.

I found the culprit so quickly!

Vand stood straight, hands on both sides and, like a soldier, saluted the three other men in my family. He stayed in salute for a minute. It took me by surprise, and I don't know the significance of it, but it touches my weak, silly heart.

It's so strong that my eyes got teary.

"Master, first young master, second young master," his back as straight as a pole, "I, Vand Mar Lunlin, would like to ask your son's hand in marriage. Please, I humbly ask for your approval."

Hmmm... marriage... hahaha... marriage?! That stupid alpha did not even propose to me, but he is asking them now. Should he ask me first? What if I reject him? Look how my love for him made him so confident.

I should stay smiling.

"Which son?" my father asks. I can't help but roll my eyes. Father just has to ask that, as if it were not obvious enough.

"Caesium Mon WenFri, sir."

I don't have any idea if we are here to talk to my father about us or to report to a Major General! I was shocked by his words, but I also wanted to laugh. He is so serious that I wanted to pinch him.

"Dad," I held Vand's hand and continued, "just say yes, please? He is a good son-in-law; you will be proud!" I have to remind him that Vand is the kind of son-in-law he could show around and boast around. Heh.

"Hmmp! Fine, so when is that wedding?" His elbow secretly nudges at Hydro and then at Silver, both looking so unperturbed but still had to contribute.

"Are you marked?" Hydro asked.

"Have you knotted?" Silver asked.

"You have his scent," Hydro said.

"Did you take the pill?" Silver asked again.

Questions after questions were thrown. Not going to lie, it made me uncomfortable, but I guess they deserve to know. I know they mean no harm, but only concern.

"I'm going to continue the line." I gave a vague answer.

Hydro's eyes sparkled, as did Silver's. Huh, I am this family's only hope! Silver and Hydro look at each other, and then both clear their throats, ready to fire their attacks.

"Wedding in a week," said Silver.

"The house by the river is yours. Do you want to live there after wedding?" Silver continued.

Hydro took out his phone and, after a second talk with the one on the other line, said, "Prepare for a wedding; my brother and his alpha will be there tomorrow."

Vand looks so confused, while I look so empowered. "Uh, does that mean you all agree?"

Hydro and Silver turned their heads to him at the same time, eyes on fire and answered like they had practiced it a thousand times: "Who would dare disagree?!"
